Walt Disney Company CEO Bob Chapek spoke at the J.P. Morgan Global Technology conference recently, talking about the technology used at the Disney Parks. A couple interesting tidbits came out of the conference. First, was Disney's intention to continue using virtual queues for some of their major attractions. Second, that Disney intend to keep the Park Pass System post-pandemic. Even though it adds an extra barrier to the joys of park hopping, it's pretty easy to guess why Disney would want to keep it around - to manage crowds and the ability to adjust ticket prices.
I personally hope the days of the "I fancy going to Epcot tonight instead, let's go!" via the freedom of the UK Ultimate Tickets doesn't completely go away as we head into the post-pandemic world at Disney.
