Disney's Lakeshore Lodge, the new Disney Vacation Club resort on Bay Lake at Walt Disney World, opened to general bookings on 8th October 2026 ahead of its 1st July 2027 opening. As of 8th October 2026, UK guests can't book it on the Disney Holidays website, so the options are phoning Disney Holidays on 0800 028 0778 or using a VPN to book through Disney's US website.

Disney's Lakeshore Lodge Booking And Prices: Quick Navigation

Despite the Disney Vacation Club label, you don't need to be a member to stay. Disney Vacation Club is Disney's timeshare-style points scheme, but some of the rooms are sold for cash directly by Disney, the same way you'd book any other Disney hotel.

Can UK Guests Book Disney's Lakeshore Lodge?

Yes, but not online through Disney Holidays. I reached out to Disney to ask whether Lakeshore Lodge could be booked from the UK, and this was their reply.

"[The Disney Holidays website] isn't currently allowing bookings, and our teams are working on getting this updated. For now the best way to book Disney's Lakeshore Lodge is to give [Walt Disney Travel Company] a call on 0800 028 0778 and they'll be happy to help."

- Disney, 8th October 2026

So Disney Holidays, the website most UK families use to book Walt Disney World packages, isn't taking Lakeshore Lodge bookings yet, even though American guests could book online from 8th October 2026. Disney says its teams are working on it but hasn't given a date.

That leaves two ways to book. Phoning 0800 028 0778 keeps your booking with Disney's UK travel company, while booking it yourself on Disney's US website means paying in dollars. If you're not set on Lakeshore Lodge, Disney Holidays can still book other Walt Disney World hotels online, and you can compare Disney World hotel and flight packages here.

How To Book Disney's Lakeshore Lodge From The UK

The simplest option is to call Disney Holidays on 0800 028 0778 and ask for Disney's Lakeshore Lodge by name. Have your dates and your preferred room type ready, because some of the room names can be easy to mix up over the phone.

If you'd rather book online, these are the steps for using Disney's US website from the UK.

  1. Set up a VPN connected to a US server. Our guide to using a VPN to make Walt Disney World bookings walks you through it.
  2. Go to Disney's US Walt Disney World website and search for Disney's Lakeshore Lodge on your dates.
  3. Choose your room type and check the total including tax.
  4. Pay with a card that doesn't charge foreign transaction fees if you can help it, because the booking is in US dollars.
  5. Book your flights to Orlando separately. Virgin Flights fly into Orlando International Airport (MCO), or you can search for cheap flights to Orlando here.

Park tickets can be bought separately in pounds, and you can check Walt Disney World ticket prices with Disney Holidays here. Our UK guide to Walt Disney World tickets explains which ticket suits which trip.

How Much Does Disney's Lakeshore Lodge Cost Per Night?

I priced a stay on 15th September 2027, a UK term-time date, to get a baseline. Disney shows its standard rates before tax, and Walt Disney World hotel stays pick up two taxes on top, a 6.5% sales tax plus a 6% hotel tax, sometimes called a tourist tax. I've added the combined 12.5% and converted to pounds at $1.32 to £1 to show what you'd pay per room, per night.

Disney standard rates for one night on 15th September 2027, checked on 8th October 2026. GBP figures add 12.5% tax (6.5% sales tax plus 6% hotel tax) and use $1.32 to £1, rounded to the nearest pound. Prices are per room and exclude flights and park tickets.

Couples get the cheapest deal, with the Duo Studio at $505, or about £430 a night with tax. Families of 4 start at $543 for a Resort Studio with no balcony. That's about £463 a night, or roughly £3,239 for 7 nights, which is about £810 each before anyone has bought a flight or a park ticket.

What Room Types Are At Disney's Lakeshore Lodge?

Disney lists 23 room options across six categories, from a two-person Duo Studio to a 3 Bedroom Grand Villa that sleeps 12. Each type has its own Disney film theme. The Duo Studios use Encanto and the Resort Studios and Presidential Suite use Pocahontas. Bambi covers the Deluxe Studios and the 1 and 2 Bedroom Villas, Fantasia gets the 3 Bedroom Grand Villas and the Lake Houses are themed to Brother Bear.

The two easiest to confuse are the Resort Studio and the Deluxe Studio. Both sleep 4, and with the same resort view they were $62 a night apart. Disney lists a kitchenette, plates, bowls and utensils and a walk-in shower for the Deluxe Studio. The Resort Studio gets a microwave, mini fridge and coffee maker but no kitchenette or crockery, and a walk-in shower isn't on its amenities list. The beds differ too, with 2 queen beds in the Resort Studio against 1 queen bed and a queen-size pull-down bed in the Deluxe Studio.

Club Access rooms add entry to The Artist's Nest concierge lounge. A Club Access Resort Studio was $888 a night on 15th September 2027, which is $329 more than a standard Resort Studio with a resort view. What Are The Pools Like At Disney's Lakeshore Lodge?

The main pool is Lakeshore Lagoon, which has a spiral waterslide. Daydream River is the lazy river, winding through an area Disney calls The Wetlands with glimpses of Bay Lake along the way. Younger children get Otter Springs, a splash area, and Heron Shores, a dry play area with climbing structures, both themed to Pocahontas. Cypress Point is the quieter leisure pool, and it's also where you can watch the Magic Kingdom fireworks at night.

Should You Book Disney's Lakeshore Lodge Or Wait For Disney Holidays?

It depends on your dates. Disney says its teams are working on getting the Disney Holidays website updated but hasn't given a date, so here's what to keep in mind.

  • If you want to stay in the opening summer of 2027, call 0800 028 0778 rather than waiting, as Disney Vacation Club members and Annual Passholders have been able to book since 6th and 7th October 2026.
  • If you'd rather book online, the VPN route through Disney's US website is open as of 8th October 2026, but you'll pay in dollars.
  • A family of 4 should budget about £3,239 for 7 nights in the cheapest room that sleeps 4 on a September 2027 term-time date, before flights and park tickets.
  • If your dates are later and flexible, you can wait for Disney Holidays to add Lakeshore Lodge to its website.
