Following the CDC announcement that Americans no longer need to wear masks in most settings if fully vaccinated, Walt Disney Company CEO Bob Chapek hinted at mask policy relaxation should happen in the summer in addition to changes already made, like the removal of temperature screening and reduced physical distancing from 6 foot to 3 foot in some areas.

However, Disney have made sudden changes to their mask policy overnight (via their website) no longer requiring face coverings in most outdoor areas. Cast members are still required to wear face coverings for now.
Please bring your own face coverings and wear them in all indoor locations, except when actively eating or drinking while stationary and maintaining appropriate physical distancing. Face coverings are optional in outdoor common areas at Walt Disney World Resort, but are still required upon entering and throughout all attractions, theaters and transportation.
