Disneyland Paris has announced that drones will no longer feature in its nighttime spectacular, Disney Tales Of Magic.

Drones Are Being Removed From Disney Tales Of Magic

Disneyland Paris first introduced drone technology with the breathtaking Disney D-Light show, which ran as a standalone pre-show before the main fireworks. When Disney Tales Of Magic launched, it incorporated drones into the main show - but it appears Disneyland Paris has decided it doesn't want both of its parks running drone sequences in their respective nighttime shows.

From 1st April 2026, Disney Tales Of Magic will be updated to a version focused on projections and pyrotechnic effects, with the drone sequences removed entirely.

Castle Bridge Refurbishment Will Also Affect The Show

From 4th May through to the end of September 2026, the show will be further adapted to accommodate the refurbishment of the bridge of Sleeping Beauty Castle. During this period, the fountain effects will be absent - though Disneyland Paris has confirmed that new pyrotechnic sequences will be added in their place.

Drones Aren't Gone From Disneyland Paris Entirely

If you're a fan of the drone displays, all is not lost. Drones will feature in Disney Cascade of Lights, the new nighttime show launching at Disney Adventure World from 29th March 2026 - so they're not disappearing from the resort altogether, just moving next door.
