Not long ago, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis announced businesses may reopen their restaurants at 50% capacity during the pandemic. At a roundtable discussion earlier, he expressed his desire to do away with the cap and let restaurants operate at full capacity. His reasoning is that closing restaurants in Miami did not contribute to lower infection rates.
I don't think that the closure of restaurants has been particularly effective. They're not going to be able to be closed by locals anymore, and they'll be able to operate at the capacity that they're comfortable with.
