Since the pandemic, many flights to Orlando that originally departed from Gatwick moved to Heathrow airport because Gatwick closed their south terminal to cut costs during the closures. However, today Gatwick Airport has announced the reopening of the south terminal on Sunday 27th March. British Airways has announced it will move back to the Gatwick south terminal, along with other airlines including Vueling, easyJet and Aer Lingus. It's likely some airlines will return back to Gatwick that moved to Heathrow over the next year.
