Disney recently announced a new Genie+ service which is replacing Fastpass+. In summary, guests will be able to pay $15 per person to get access to book the "Lightning Lane" to over 40 attractions across Walt Disney World (it will not include the big attractions like Rise Of Resistance, which will be priced separately). When you're at the park, you can book you first attraction, when that time comes, enter the attraction through the Lightning Lane (old Fastpass queue) and enjoy the attraction, and then you can book your next one. You can do this for the entire day.

If you're a Walt Disney World resort guest, you can book your first attraction at 7am, if not, you can book your first one when the park opens. Today it has come to light that you'll be able to purchase the $15 Genie+ for the day starting at midnight of that day. From what I've seen so far, there's no benefit in waiting up until midnight to purchase Genie+, you can just purchase it starting at midnight. It doesn't matter if you purchase it at midnight, 2am, or 6:59am, all guests have the same chance to book their first attraction equally when the 7am window opens.
