Genie+ Will Actually Cost $15.98 Per Day

Disney has officially launched Genie, Genie+, and "Lightning Lanes". As previously announced, Genie+ is advertised as costing guests $15 per day. Something that we overlook here in the UK, is that all our prices include tax. Even though most of us Disney World regulars know that tax is usually added at the checkout, tax is added to the Genie+ cost. This has caught some Americans off-guard though because sales tax isn't always applied to digital purchases, but it is here.

Tax is added just before you confirm your purchase of Genie+, which adds 98 cents to the price. So the total you'll be paying is just shy of $16 - $15.98 per guest per day - to use this new Genie+ service. Tax is also applicable to the "Lightning Lane" individual attraction selections, and the opening day prices are listed here.
