Hurly-Burly At Disney's BoardWalk: Quick Navigation

The opening lands on Walt Disney World's 55th birthday, since it first opened on 1st October 1971, and it gives this corner of the BoardWalk a bit of a change. JellyRolls was a duelling piano bar that only opened at night for over-21s. Hurly-Burly keeps the late-night adult crowd but lets the whole family in for the first five hours.

What Is Hurly-Burly At Disney's BoardWalk?

Disney has themed Hurly-Burly as a historic seaside theatre that was once home to the BoardWalk's vaudeville acts, now reopening almost a century later. According to Disney's official Hurly-Burly page, the food is a menu of shareable small plates inspired by Italian-American favourites and classic boardwalk snacks, both savoury and sweet. The drinks list mixes cocktails and non-alcoholic speciality drinks with frozen drinks, wine and beers that include Atlantic Coast brews. There's live music every night, and the genre changes from one night to the next.

Outside there's also a walk-up window with its own small bar, serving a handful of drinks including the Caramel Corn Old Fashioned and the Cherry-Vodka Limeade, if you'd rather sip on the promenade and watch the boats go past.

What Are The Hurly-Burly Opening Hours And Age Rules?

Hurly-Burly is open from 4pm to 1am. Children are welcome from opening until 9pm, and from 9pm the venue is exclusive to guests aged 21 and over with valid photo identification. In summary, it runs as two different venues depending on when you turn up.

Family Session Evening Session
Times 4pm to 9pm 9pm to 1am
Who can go Everyone, including children Guests aged 21 and over with valid photo ID
Entertainment Host-led games and trivia Live music, with the genre changing nightly
Best suited for Families, jet-lagged first evenings and an early drink before dinner Couples and groups of adults wanting a late night that doesn't involve a theme park

The US drinking age is 21, so anyone aged 18 to 20 can join in with the afternoon games but can't be served alcohol, and they'll need to leave when the evening session starts at 9pm. If your 19-year-old was hoping for a first pint on holiday, Florida won't be providing it.

For the evening session, a passport is the safest photo ID for UK visitors to carry, since it's the document most likely to be accepted without any debate.

What Food And Drinks Are On The Hurly-Burly Menu?

The menu is built around shareable small plates, so it's better suited to snacks and drinks than a full dinner. Here's a selection from the menu Disney published ahead of opening.

A selection from the menu Disney published ahead of opening. Menus can change, so check the latest version on Disney's website or in the My Disney Experience app before you go.

For children, the Overture in Orange is the obvious pick, as it's a frozen orange drink topped with sweet cream. The Caramel Corn Old Fashioned leans hardest on the seaside theme, and the Mertini is made with navy strength gin, so you may want to make that one your last of the night.

How Do You Get A Table At Hurly-Burly?

You can't book Hurly-Burly in advance. Disney added it to the walk-up list in the My Disney Experience app on 30th September 2026, the day before opening, and that's the main way to get a seat when it's busy. If you've used the walk-up list at other Disney World restaurants, it works the same way. Disney's mobile walk-up list page explains the system, and here are the steps.

  1. Update the My Disney Experience app to the latest version and turn on location services, as Disney says the walk-up list needs both.
  2. Make your way to Disney's BoardWalk, since the app only lets you join a walk-up list once you're close to the venue.
  3. Find Hurly-Burly in the app's dining section and tap "Join Walk-Up List".
  4. Enter your party size and confirm your details, including any dietary requests.
  5. Wait for the notification telling you your table is ready, then head to venue.

Please note that you can only be on one walk-up list at a time per account, so you can't hold a place here while queuing for dinner somewhere else on the same account. If you're bringing children, keep the 9pm cut-off in mind, because joining the list at 8.15pm could leave you with very little time inside before the family session ends.

Should Hurly-Burly Change Your UK Disney World Plans?

Disney's BoardWalk is in the EPCOT resort area, a walk from EPCOT's International Gateway entrance near World Showcase, and Friendship boats also run across Crescent Lake. You don't need a park ticket to visit, so it works as an evening out on a pool day. If you're pairing it with EPCOT, our Disney World tickets guide for UK visitors explains which tickets to buy, and you can compare standalone ticket prices at FloridaTix.

Here's what the opening means for your trip.

  • Families now have a sit-down BoardWalk option between 4pm and 9pm without needing a dining reservation.
  • Groups travelling with 18 to 20-year-olds will need somewhere else to go once 9pm arrives.
  • Adults heading out after 9pm should take their passport to get in if you look youthful.
  • Children get their own frozen and non-alcoholic speciality drinks on the menu, so the family session works for all ages.
