It is with great sadness I share with you today the news that MuppetVision 3D at Disney's Hollywood Studios has an official closing date. MuppetVision 3D will permanently close on June 7th, 2025. PizzeRizzo will also be closing on the same day.
To make way for the monsters, the Grand Avenue area will begin a phase closing in May. Melrose's Ristorante Italiano will permanently close on May 10th, 2025 (to which we are glad about as we outline in our review).
Although MuppetVision 3D is closing, The Muppets will live on because Rock 'N' Roller Coaster will be re-themed to The Muppets. Disney did not disclose when Rock ‘n' Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith will close, but reading between the lines, it looks like they're giving guests at least the summer of 2025 to enjoy it for the final time, but I'm sure we'll know more and get exact closure dates closer to the time.
Disney has said that they are having "creative conversations and exploring ways to preserve the film [MuppetVision 3D] and other parts of the experience for fans to enjoy in the future."
