McDonald's has officially opened its doors to a brand new restaurant at Disney Village, marking a major transformation of the site 27 years after the original location first welcomed guests, after five years of design and construction and an investment of more than €20 million. The new restaurant spans three floors with 600 seats - including 200 on outdoor terraces - the restaurant also features a panoramic elevator and a three-storey indoor play area for younger guests.
The new restaurant offers a range of modern conveniences including 23 self-service kiosks, table ordering via QR code and made-to-order meals. A dual kitchen and five dumbwaiters will help increase service capacity. There's also a McCafé section to grab a quick bite and a coffee.
With 210 members of staff covering 16 languages, the restaurant is well equipped to welcome the international mix of guests that Disney Village attracts year-round - and for those who remember the old location feeling cramped and hectic at peak times, the significant upgrade in space and capacity should make for a far more enjoyable visit.
