Today marks the reopening of the US borders! To travel to the US, all adults 18+ need to be fully vaccinated, and all travellers need to take a pre-departure COVID-19 test within 72 hours of boarding the plane. The CDC has laid out the testing requirements for Brits who want to travel to the US. You do not need to pay for a pricey PCR, an LFT (or antigen) is acceptable. However, it must be an observed "Observed Lateral Flow Antigen Fit to Fly Test" via a telehealth consultation. You can purchase these tests for just £32 via Project Screen, who walk you through the process and send you your test result certificates to show at the US border.

This test is in addition to the day 2 return test which you must pre-book before you travel as well. The day 2 test does not need to be an observed LFT.
