Josh D'Amaro, the Chairman of Disney Parks, Experiences, and Products was recently interviewed on the Dow Report. In that interview, he covered a wide range of topics with the reopening of the parks. One of the most interesting tidbits is the technology Disney using to navigate through this pandemic. Technology that includes the new park reservation system. The new park reservation system requires guests to book a slot to visit the parks in advance. This was introduced for Disney to easily control crowds and control capacity as capacity is reduced during the pandemic.
In the interview, Josh D'Amaro hinted that this park reservation system will be here to stay even after the pandemic is over.
This technology, it doesn't only help us during a time of a pandemic, but I also think it actually leads to a better cast and guest experience. And so these are things that are helping us now, but I think they're here to stay.
