When Does Typhoon Lagoon Reopen In 2027?

Disney has confirmed that Typhoon Lagoon reopens on 27th January 2027. The water park has been closed for its seasonal refurbishment since 9th September 2026, leaving Blizzard Beach as Disney's only open water park through the autumn and winter.

Disney says Blizzard Beach is welcoming guests until 26th January 2027, so the handover is a straight swap from one day to the next. If you're flying out in late January, which park you get depends entirely on the date.

For UK guests with a Disney Magic Ticket, you get access to whichever water park is open.

Do UK Guests Need The Disney Water Park Seasonal Pass?

Disney is also selling its Water Park Seasonal Pass for $89 plus tax for ages 10 and over and $83 plus tax for ages 3 to 9. It covers Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach until 15th May 2027, with some blockout dates.

Most UK guests won't need it. The UK-only 7 and 14-day Magic Tickets include admission to whichever Disney water park is open, alongside all four theme parks with park hopping.

The Seasonal Pass only makes sense if your tickets don't include water park admission, such as a Walt Disney World annual pass, and you're planning more than one water park day before 15th May 2027. It isn't sold directly to UK guests, so you'd need to use a VPN to buy it.

Our Magic Tickets guide covers what's included and where to buy them. If you'd rather buy tickets separately from your flights and hotel, FloridaTix sells Magic Tickets for UK guests. Our Walt Disney World deals guide for UK guests lists the current package offers if you haven't booked yet.
