Virgin Atlantic is contemplating a return to London Gatwick Airport. Since 2020, Virgin Atlantic moved their base from London Gatwick to London Heathrow, which pleased some passengers and annoyed others. However, this week Virgin Atlantic have said they've given up hope that London Heathrow airport will build their third runway before the end of the decade. London Heathrow operates at almost full capacity at the moment, so room for growth for the company is limited. The Chief Executive of London Gatwick is eager to have Virgin return, so in the near future we could see Virgin move back to London Gatwick.
