Walt Disney World first opened on October 1, 1971. Which means in 2021 Walt Disney will be celebrating its 50th anniversary. While the COVID-19 pandemic might have altered some of those plans, celebrations are still due to go ahead.

Disney Parks Chairman Josh D'Amaro said at todays IAAPA virtual conference that Disney will soon announce information about celebrations, due to start Autumn 2021, and released another 50th anniversary logo (above).
