Chef Art Smith's Homecomin', located at Disney Springs, is American comfort food at its best! Homecomin' is truly one of the best places to eat at Walt Disney World and is easily in our top 3 of all the restaurants on property. It continues to be consistently good over the past several years. We've experienced the restaurant itself, the outside bar, and the inside bar - all many times! Here's our Chef Art Smith's Homecomin' review.
✅ Food is phenomenal
👠Service is great
👠Restaurant is nice and cosy
Chef Art Smith's Homecomin' offers delicious comfort food. Chef Art Smith's Homecomin' has a moderately sized indoor restaurant with some outdoor seating, as well as an inside bar and an outside bar. It is our tradition now to come here on our first night after flying in for some moonshine, thigh highs, and eggs. A nice filling and satisfying meal after a long flight sends us straight to sleep to start a magical morning the next day!
The Moonshine
This place is also known for their Moonshine. Here's a look at the selection.

On the first time looking over the menu, we couldn't possibly decide, so we had to get the flight! The flight is, in my opinion, excellent value. You get to try everything, and they're decent-sized glasses too, so there's plenty to share with others so everyone can get a taste.

They also sell branded squeeze bottles, which allows you to get more Moonshine than the standard glass for the same price. We have one we take down to Homecomin' every visit!
The Bar Experience
The new outside bar is nice, which is where we sat to enjoy the above Moonshine flight. Other times we tend to try to go inside, as you well know, Florida gets quite warm. There's a good amount of bar seating all the way around the bar, and it's usually easy to get a seat, as long as it's not at peak meal times.

We don't go to the bar for "full meals" per se (although it's all incredibly filling), we usually share some Thigh High Chicken Biscuits and Church Lady Deviled Egg (along with a Moonshine refill). Absolutely delicious, the lot of it.
The Restaurant Experience
The restaurant itself is nice, and there are a few nice seats by the window where you can enjoy a lovely view of Disney Springs.

Chef Art Smith's Homecomin' is known for its chicken, and the chicken is what we always enjoy!

The chicken is so good. The mash potatoes are so good. What's even better is you can request specific chicken pieces depending on your preferences. My other half prefers thighs, so she requests dark meat with no drumsticks. I prefer my fried chicken a little less fatty, so I always order all white meat (although there is a $3 surcharge for all white).

There's also a pulled pork dish which is very delicious as well if you want to try something a little different.

If what you order doesn't come with Mac & Cheese, order a side of Mac & Cheese. It's probably the best Mac & Cheese you'll have in your life. Trust us.
If you think after all that you'd have no room for dessert, you would be correct. However, the Hummingbird Cake is absolutely stunning. And although we can never eat it while we are there, we always get it to go and enjoy it in our Disney hotel room over the next day.

Chef Art Smith's Homecomin' Summary
Chef Art Smith's Homecomin' truly is comfort food at its best. While I don't recommend having a meal here directly before going to a park and walking for miles, it's absolutely the best way to end the day with an incredibly satisfying meal. It continues to be one of our top 3 restaurants at Walt Disney World and is a must-do every visit. Every time we do visit, we always joke and say, "maybe this time they'll screw something up this time", but they haven't yet.
See you next trip as always, Homecomin'! I'll be sure to bring a second stomach.
