On our final night, we dined at Lumiere's. This restaurant features contemporary French fare in a refined atmosphere. First, we were greeted by Belle, Ariel, and Snow White. Look how happy they are to see me!

The restaurant has Beauty and the Beast themed touches all around, but it's much more subtle (other than the big mural at the back). There's the rose hanging from the ceiling, and the lighting all around is beautiful. There's a pianist sat in the center playing Disney melodies throughout the evening.

Once we are seated, we're greeted by a very well folded napkin.

Some fresh bread and olive dip was brought to our table.

For the first courses, we had Duck Confit and Gaston's Escargot Gratinee (yes, that's snails). The Duck Confit was absolutely divine. I almost ordered another one. The snails were very tasty, although a little too garlicky for my taste.

Our server recommended I give the French Onion Soup a try (as I ordered soups in our last two meals), so I rubbed my hands together and went for it. The flavours of this soup were intense. Too intense for me. The onion flavour was very overwhelming and the cheese (which there was a lot of) was very strong. It was nice, but I could only eat a little bit. Our server came over afterward and said "it's good but tough to finish isn't it?". That sums it up quite well. I never thought soup would be a challenging feat!

For our main courses, we had the roasted rack of lamb, and Chateaubriand-roasted filet steak. I was torn between the filet steak and the crisp-roasted duck breast, but our server recommended the steak, so steak it was! The lamb was scrumptious and the dauphinoise potatoes were perfect. As for the filet steak, it was the best steak I've had in a long time. It was perfectly cooked and the red wine jus topped it off beautifully. The crushed new potatoes were good, but after tasting the dauphinoise, I wish I had paired it with that instead. These were without a doubt the two best dishes of the cruise.

For dessert, we had the apple tart tatin, and the classic opera gateau. Sadly, there's no grey stuff on the menu here. The apple tart was delicious and sweet (as it was caramelised), and the gateau was incredibly rich and moist.

There is no elaborate show like at Animator's Palate and Rapunzel's Royal Table, but this restaurant offers the best food (albeit not by much, as both of the other fine dining restaurants still serve incredible food) in a quiet and soothing atmosphere. In terms of overall vibe and ambiance, I'd put it on par with California Grill. This restaurant is elegant and perfectly suited to relax and eat arguably the best food on the ship, all while listening to Disney melodies played by the pianist.
