How to Get to Disneyland Paris from the Airport
Once you land at CDG or ORLY, you've got a few ways to get to Disneyland Paris - and the right choice depends on your group size, budget and how much you want to deal with after your flight. The main options are the Magical Shuttle bus, a private taxi or transfer, a rideshare app like Uber or Bolt, or the train (from CDG only).
One thing to be clear on from the start - none of these are included in your Disneyland Paris package by default. Even if you've booked flights, hotel and park tickets together, getting from the airport to your hotel is a separate cost you need to arrange. We'll cover how the Magical Shuttle stacks up against your other options later in this guide.
What Is the Magical Shuttle?
The Magical Shuttle - sometimes called the "Magic Shuttle" in conversation, though the official name is Magical Shuttle - is the official Disneyland Paris airport bus service. It runs from both ORLY and Charles de Gaulle (CDG) airports and drops guests off directly at their Disneyland Paris hotel. The service is operated by a third-party company called Transdev on behalf of Disneyland Paris - think of it like how Disney's old Magical Express at Walt Disney World was run by Mears.
Buses run daily from around 9am through to around 6pm, departing roughly every hour, though exact times vary by airport and time of year. Always check the current timetable on the Magical Shuttle website before you travel.
The bus stops at all Disneyland Paris hotels in sequence, dropping guests off one by one. The order can vary depending on who's on any given service. The Magical Shuttle does not serve Disney Davy Crockett Ranch - if that's where you're staying you'll need separate transport. It does stop at Les Villages Nature, though worth adding that both Davy Crockett Ranch and Les Villages Nature are a few miles from the park gates with no direct park shuttle of their own, making them a poor choice unless you're driving.
From CDG only, the Magical Shuttle also offers connections to Val d'Europe and Villages Nature Paris, as well as partner hotels collaborating with Disney. If you're staying at a partner hotel rather than an on-site Disney hotel, check the Magical Shuttle website to confirm your hotel is served.

Is the Magical Shuttle Free?
No - the Magical Shuttle airport transfer is not free. It costs €24 per adult and €11 per child per journey, with children under 3 going free.
There is a free shuttle service at Disneyland Paris, but it's something completely different. Disney operates complimentary buses between all the on-site Disney hotels and Disney Village - a shopping, dining and entertainment area from which you can walk directly through to the park entrance. That service is free and runs regularly throughout the day, but it's for guests who are already at the resort. It has nothing to do with getting from the airport to your hotel.
So if someone has told you there's a free shuttle to Disneyland Paris, they almost certainly mean those hotel-to-village resort buses - not the airport transfer. The airport journey always costs money, whichever way you choose to make it.
How Much Does the Magical Shuttle Cost?
All prices below are per person, per one-way journey.
- Adults: €24
- Children aged 3 to 12: €11
- Children under 3: Free
To give you a rough idea: two adults travelling return would cost around €96. A family of four with two children aged 3 to 12 would pay around €140 return in total. A solo traveller pays €48 return. Prices can change so always verify the current rate when you book - but these have been consistent for a while.

How to Book the Magical Shuttle
You can book directly through the Magical Shuttle website at magicalshuttle.co.uk. You'll pick your airport, travel dates, number of passengers and your preferred outbound and return departure times. Booking in advance is recommended, particularly in peak season.
If you've booked a hotel and ticket package through DisneylandParis.com, you can add the Magical Shuttle as a transport option during the booking process. However, if you're booking a flight, hotel and ticket package through Disney Holidays, there is no option to add it directly. You will have to book it yourself on the Magical Shuttle website.
Before you book anything, it's worth making sure you're travelling on the cheapest possible dates first - the transfer cost is secondary to getting the base price right. Use the Disneyland Paris pricing calendar to find the cheapest available dates for your trip. If you want to know whether you should book through Disney Holidays UK or DisneylandParis.com, our DisneyHolidays.co.uk Or DisneylandParis.com - Who To Book Disneyland Paris With? article covers that in full.
Getting Your Tickets - Don't Make This Mistake
After booking online, you'll receive a confirmation email. This email is not your ticket. This is one of the most common mix-ups at pickup, so it's worth getting right before you travel.
Within your confirmation email there will be a link to download your actual ticket. Click that link and save the QR code it generates - that's what the driver will scan when you board. Take a screenshot and keep it somewhere accessible, or print it if you'd rather not rely on your phone battery after a long travel day. Don't assume the email itself is enough.
Finding the Bus Stop
ORLY Airport
Finding the Magical Shuttle at ORLY is easy. After clearing customs and collecting your luggage, head outside and follow the signs for buses. Once you're outside you'll see bright red Magical Shuttle signs - they're hard to miss, and there's usually already a bus waiting at the stop.
The exact exit and platform depends on which ORLY terminal you arrive into. Here are the official directions from Magical Shuttle:
Official Magical Shuttle directions at ORLY
ORLY 1 & 2: Exit Door 18, Platform D6
ORLY 3: Exit Door 22a, Platform D6
ORLY 4: Exit Door 48a, Platform 3
Staying at L'Elysée or Adagio hotels? Get off at Chessy Nord Bus Station, then transfer at Chessy Sud Bus Station, Platform F. Take the free private shuttle to your hotel. If no private shuttle is available, take bus line 2231 from Platform K.
Staying at Disney partner hotels? Get off at Chessy Nord Bus Station and transfer to the hotels' free shuttle at Platform N.
Staying at Ki Space or Stay City hotels? Get off at Chessy Nord Bus Station and transfer to the hotels' free shuttle at Platform P.
Charles de Gaulle (CDG) Airport
CDG requires a bit more navigation than ORLY. The Magical Shuttle stop is located between Terminals 2E and 2F, and the route to get there varies depending on which terminal your flight arrives into. For reference, EasyJet operates out of Terminal 2B, British Airways out of Terminal 2D, and Air France out of Terminals 2E, 2F and 2G.
Here are the official directions from Magical Shuttle for each terminal at CDG:
Official Magical Shuttle directions at CDG
Terminal 1: Find the 'Tourism Information / Visit Paris Region' helpdesk on your left. Take elevator C near Exit 6a down to the 'Départs/Departures' 3rd floor. Exit via Gate 10d 'Cars de groupe/Group Coaches' and head to the Magical Shuttle stop at Platform F.
Terminal 2A: Follow Terminal 2C, then Terminal 2E arrivals level, take the corridor at door 8.
Terminal 2B/2D: Follow Terminal 2F arrivals level, take the corridor at door 8.
Terminal 2C: Follow Terminal 2E arrivals level, take the corridor at door 8.
Terminal 2G: Take the bus line to Terminal 2F, go down to the arrivals level, take the corridor at door 8.
Terminals 2A/B/C/D (alternative): Take the bus line and get off at Terminal 2E, then join the arrivals level and take the corridor at door 8.
Terminal 3: Follow Terminal 2, then take the CDGVAL, then Terminal 2F arrivals level, take the corridor at door 8.
It's signposted throughout and part of the route has moving walkways, so it's not as bad as it sounds. That said, if you're travelling with a lot of luggage or young children, factor in the walk when you're planning how long you need before your bus departs - allow 10-15 minutes from the further terminals. For a first-hand account of doing this walk, see our Magical Shuttle review.

What to Expect on Board
When you reach the bus, the driver will greet you, scan your QR code and confirm your hotel. You then load your own luggage into the storage compartment underneath the bus - the driver may help if needed but it's not standard practice, and there's no tipping culture to navigate. All drivers speak English.
The coaches are standard, comfortable shuttle buses with cushioned seating, and there's usually a screen on board showing Disneyland Paris promotional content. For a full breakdown of comfort, legroom and what the journey is actually like, read our Magical Shuttle review, where we cover our experience using it in both directions.
The bus stops at each Disneyland Paris hotel in sequence. The stop order can vary depending on which hotels have guests on board that service. Don't be surprised if you're not the first drop-off - if your hotel comes later in the route, you'll be on the bus a little longer.
How Long Does the Magical Shuttle Take?
From ORLY, the journey to Disneyland Paris typically takes around 35 minutes in lighter traffic. From CDG it's often a little longer, primarily due to traffic, and with multiple hotel stops factored in, the total journey time can reach an hour or more. Traffic is the main variable, and mornings are generally quicker than evenings.
Keep in mind that because the bus serves multiple hotels, your personal journey time will depend partly on where your hotel falls in the drop-off sequence. If you're last on the route, you'll be on the bus for longer than the headline journey time suggests. If door-to-door speed is your priority, a direct taxi or rideshare will always be quicker.
The Return Journey
Getting back to the airport works the same way in reverse. At each Disney hotel there's a dedicated Magical Shuttle pickup point with a timetable showing departure times. The buses display their destination on a digital screen, and once the driver scans your ticket they'll confirm you're on the right one.
The return journey often takes longer than the inbound trip, mainly due to evening traffic. Build that into your plans and don't cut it too fine if you've got a flight to catch - our Magical Shuttle review covers exactly how much longer our return journey took and what we'd allow next time.

Is Magical Shuttle Legit?
Yes - completely. The Magical Shuttle is the official Disneyland Paris airport bus service, operated by Transdev under a contract with Disneyland Paris. It's the service Disneyland Paris themselves promote and it can be added directly to a DisneylandParis.com package booking. We've used it ourselves and had no issues in either direction.
The reason some people question it is that the website - magicalshuttle.co.uk - doesn't look like an official Disney page, and the branding doesn't shout "Disney" in the way you might expect. But that's simply because it's run by the transport operator rather than Disney directly. Transdev is a large, established European transport company running public transit contracts across the continent. It's a perfectly legitimate service.
Magical Shuttle vs Your Other Options
The Magical Shuttle isn't your only option, and for some travellers it might not even be the best one. Here's how it compares.
Magical Shuttle vs Private Transfer
A private transfer - a pre-booked car or minibus going directly to your hotel with no other stops - typically costs around €80 each way. That price is per vehicle, not per person, so for a family the per-head cost is lower. For two adults, though, a private transfer return works out at around €160 versus €96 for the Magical Shuttle - a meaningful difference. The trade-off is time and convenience: a private transfer gets you there faster and without waiting for other guests to be dropped off first.
Magical Shuttle vs Uber or Bolt
Rideshare apps like Uber and Bolt operate at both CDG and ORLY and can work out cheaper than a private transfer - typically around €40-70 each way depending on time of day and demand. Like a private transfer, the price is per vehicle rather than per person, and you go directly to your hotel. For a solo traveller or a couple, this can be a competitive option. For larger groups with a lot of luggage, make sure you book a vehicle with enough space, and be aware of potential surge pricing at busy times.
Magical Shuttle vs Train (CDG Only)
From CDG there is also a train option that can get you to the resort, and it's the cheapest way to travel if you're happy to navigate public transport with your luggage. The trade-off is that it drops you at Marne-la-Vallée-Chessy station rather than at your specific hotel, so you'd need to make your own way from there. Check current timetables, routes and fares before you travel as these can change. From ORLY, the train connections are considerably more complicated and for most people the Magical Shuttle or a rideshare is the more sensible choice.
Which Option Is Best?
For most families visiting from the UK, the Magical Shuttle often hits the right balance of cost and convenience - particularly from ORLY. It's pre-booked, predictable, and drops you at your hotel without having to navigate Parisian public transport with luggage and children in tow. If you're travelling as a couple or solo and value getting there quickly, a rideshare can be comparable in price and significantly faster.
If you'd rather have everything sorted in one booking - flights, hotel, tickets and transfers - a full package through Disney Holidays takes the decision out of your hands. It's also worth checking our Disneyland Paris deals guide to see what offers are currently available before you book anything separately.

Is there a free shuttle to Disneyland Paris?
Not from the airport - no. The Magical Shuttle is a paid service.
