Disney Magic Rapunzel's Royal Table Review

On our second night, we dined at Rapunzel's Royal Table. Tangled is one of my favourite modern-time Disney movies - and while the Tangled-themed restroom area at the Magic Kingdom is beautiful - seeing it in a restaurant setting was quite mesmerising. The restaurant is beautiful throughout. The theming is present as far as the eye can see, and the floating glowing lanterns really give it a soothing atmosphere.

I don't know what it is about Disney Cruise Line and their choice of chairs in their restaurants, but just like with Animator's Palate, these chairs are stunning. The theming extends to the table items as you can see below.

They must get a lot of people stealing those gold clips on the napkins because the servers came around pretty quickly to take them away.

To start, we were given some fresh bread and wholegrain mustard dip. I am not a fan of mustard, so I passed on the dip, but with the bread was a delicious and fresh pretzel!

For our first course, we had Ravioli "Tiroler". It was delicious. The pasta was fresh and the pulled beef inside was really good.

Next up was potato cream soup. There was nothing bad to say about this soup, and the knockwurst that was added gave it a really nice kick.

For our main course, we had the Flynn Rider Platter. It came with grilled smoked pork loin, pork belly, bockwurst, braised red cabbage, fried potato dumpling, and a spatburgunder wine jus. If you're a lover of pork, you'll love this dish. As expected, it was quite salty, but not overly so. Sadly, the pork belly slice was mostly fat (I would have asked for more if I wasn't already getting quite full with dessert soon to come), but the loin, bockwurst, and potato dumpling was just spot on.

For dessert, we had the warm braided apple strudel and the créme brûlée cheesecake. The strudel was as good as you'd expect, and the butter pecan ice cream complimented the apple very well. The créme brûlée was very creamy and sweet, we could only eat half of it, but it was so good.

Two of the patrons of Snuggly Duckling come out and sing I have a dream and entertain the crowd every now and then, and later on, the finale number includes Rapunzel and Flynn. The cast members walk around the restaurant holding lanterns when Rapunzel and Flynn sing I see the light.

Rapunzel's Royal Table was another success in my book. Fantastic food, great service, very cute show, coupled with gorgeous atmosphere and ambiance. The glowing lanterns really set the tone of the whole restaurant and I could sit and look at them all night. Unfortunately, the guests on the later dinner time would probably have wanted my table.
