When we visit Disneyland Paris we usually get a private transfer from a local company (or through a company like Holiday Taxis). But with taxi costs creeping up, we thought we'd give the Disneyland Paris "Magical Shuttle" service a try. The Magical Shuttle is the official coach service for Disneyland Paris, but it is operated by a third-party company called Transdev. Although, it's no different than Disney's Magical Express for Walt Disney World (RIP) being operated by Mears.

About Magical Shuttle

We paid 96€ (works out at 24€ each per person per journey, but it's 11€ for kids) for a return trip for both of us. The coaches run pretty much hourly each day starting from around 9 am through 6 pm. They take up to an hour to get to Disneyland Paris. You can see the full current timetable on their website. They run from both ORLY and Charles De Gaulle (CDG) airports. For full details, check out our Disneyland Paris Magical Shuttle Guide.

Booking The Magical Shuttle

Whether you've booked a hotel+ticket package through DisneylandParis.com or a flight+hotel+package through Disney Holidays you need to add a transport option to get you from the airport to Disneyland Paris. To book Magical Shuttle you can do so online on their website https://magicalshuttle.co.uk.

Our Experience

We booked online a couple of months before our trip. We flew into ORLY 3 (from Bristol) and it was super easy to find the bus stop. You just go outside and follow the signs that say "bus".

Once you follow the signs you'll see the bus stop with bright red signs that say "Magical Shuttle" - you can't miss it. When we arrived there was a coach already there waiting for us, what service!

The driver (they all speak English) came out to greet us and to scan our QR code digital tickets. We then put our luggage under the coach. While I'm sure they'll assist you if you need it, by default you put your own bags under the coach (unlike in the USA), however, you don't need to tip anything. Our driver was friendly and directed us to where we needed to go. He also clearly announced what stop we were coming up to next along the way.

The journey from ORLY to Disney Hotel Cheyenne was only about 35 minutes - impressive! The first drop off was Disney Newport Bay, then Disney Santa Fe, then our hotel and then it was onto Disney Sequoia Lodge and Disney Hotel New York - The Art Of Marvel after that. The pick-ups to the airport are in reverse order.

The Coach

The coach was in good condition and had much more comfy and plush seats than I was expecting. The only criticism is the legroom is quite tight, especially as I'm taller than average, but that's the case with most coaches.

Going Home

At each of the Disney Hotels, there will be a sign where the coach picks you up. It will display all the pickup times as well so you know when to be there. The coaches themselves will have their destination on the digital displays, but after scanning your ticket your driver will let you know if you're on the wrong one.

To get to/from ORLY it's super quick, but Charles De Gaulle (CDG) is a bit of a walk depending on your terminal. The pickup/drop-off is between 2E and 2F (this is the only stop at Terminal 2). Easyjet flies out of Terminal 2B, British Airways fly out of Terminal 2D, and Air France operates both in Terminal 2F, Terminal 2E and Terminal 2G. It was a good 10-15 minute walk to/from the bus stop at Easyjet's Terminal 2B location.

CDG Ma

We encountered no issues with either journey and while the journey to the airport was about an hour due to traffic, it was only 35 minutes to Disneyland Paris. Other than tight leg room it was a comfortable journey, and just like on Disney's Magical Express they usually have a TV screen but it tends to just play Disneyland Paris ads, which is odd considering you've already booked and on the way there. Both ways were pleasant enough and we would use Magical Shuttle again.
