When we dug through the Disney+ small print on 25th September 2026, the only confirmed rise was Standard With Ads going to £6.99, with no sign of changes to the ad-free plans. Disney has now filled in the gaps, and Standard takes the biggest rise at 20%, which adds £24 a year for a household paying monthly.
How Much Does Disney+ Cost In The UK Now?

| Plan | Old Price | New Price | Increase | Best Suited For |

| Premium (monthly) | £14.99 | £15.99 | £1 a month (about 7%) | 4K and Dolby Atmos on up to four screens, if you dip in and out |

New prices apply to new subscriptions from 14th October 2026. Extra Member add-ons are unchanged at £4.99 a month on Standard With Ads and £5.99 a month on Standard or Premium. Source Disney+ Help Centre.

Over 12 months on a rolling monthly plan, Standard now costs £143.88 and Premium £191.88 before you add an Extra Member. Standard With Ads works out at £83.88 a year, £12 more than before.
When Do Existing Disney+ Subscribers Pay The New Price?
If you already subscribe, your bill won't change yet. Monthly subscribers move to the new price on their first billing date on or after Wednesday 18th November 2026. Annual subscribers follow on their first renewal on or after Wednesday 2nd December 2026. An annual Standard plan that renews before 2nd December 2026 stays at £99.90 for another 12 months, which is £20 less than a new customer pays. The first bill at the new price lands somewhere between 18th November and 17th December 2026, depending on your billing date.
Here's how to work out when your own bill changes.
- Log in to your Disney+ account on the website and check your subscription details for your next billing date.
- If you pay monthly and that date is on or after 18th November 2026, that bill will be at the new monthly price.
- If you pay annually and your renewal falls before 2nd December 2026, you'll renew at the old annual price for another year.
Which Disney+ Plan Has Gone Up The Most?
Standard, in both pounds and percentage terms. It's up £2 a month, or 20%, while Standard With Ads has risen by about 17% and Premium by about 7%. The annual Standard plan has gone up by £20, double the £10 added to annual Premium.
That makes Premium look better value next to Standard than it did before. The gap between the two monthly plans has shrunk from £5 to £4, and the annual gap has dropped from £50 to £40. For an extra £4 a month you get 4K with HDR and four screens at once instead of two.
Can You Still Get Disney+ Cheaper With A 6-Month Saver?
Yes, if you're new to Disney+ or an eligible returning subscriber. Since 14th October 2026, Disney+ has offered six-month savers at £5.99 a month for Standard With Ads, £9.99 a month for Standard and £11.99 a month for Premium.
| Plan | 6 Months On The Saver | 6 Months Paying Monthly | Saving |
|---|---|---|---|
| Standard With Ads | £35.94 | £41.94 | £6 |
| Standard | £59.94 | £71.94 | £12 |
| Premium | £71.94 | £95.94 | £24 |
Six-month totals based on saver prices and new monthly prices from 14th October 2026.
The Premium saver gives the biggest saving. At £11.99 a month it costs exactly the same as Standard on a rolling monthly plan, so for six months you get 4K for the price of Full HD.
The savers have gone up as well. Before 14th October they cost £4.99, £7.99 and £10.99 a month, so the Standard saver has had the same £2 rise as the monthly plan. Keep in mind that a saver has a six-month minimum term and then renews at the full monthly price. If you grabbed the £4.99 Standard With Ads saver before it ended on 13th October 2026, you keep that price for your six months before moving to £6.99 a month.
Should You Change Your Disney+ Plan Before The Price Rise?
It depends how you watch. Even at the new prices, there are ways to take the edge off the bill.
- If you pay monthly for Standard and watch all year, the £119.90 annual plan costs £23.98 less than 12 payments of £11.99.
- Switching from monthly Premium to the £159.90 annual plan saves £31.98 over a year compared with paying £15.99 a month.
- If you can live with adverts, Standard With Ads at £6.99 is £5 a month cheaper than Standard, which adds up to £60 over a year.
- If your annual plan renews before 2nd December 2026, you don't need to do anything, as you'll pay the old price for another year.
If you only want Disney+ for one series over the Christmas holidays, a single month on Standard With Ads at £6.99 is still the cheapest way in. And if the plan is to put the savings towards your next Disney holiday, see our Walt Disney World offers guide rounds up the current UK package deals.
