Frontier Developments announced on 3rd September 2026 that it has entered into an agreement with Disney to develop and publish a new video game drawing on Disney's intellectual property. The project will be entirely funded by Frontier itself, not Disney, and will build on the studio's track record in what it calls the "Creative Management Simulation" genre.

Frontier Developments plc is a British video game developer founded in January 1994 by David Braben and based at the Cambridge Science Park in Cambridge, England. It trades on London's AIM market under the ticker FDEV, and Jo Cooke is its Chief Executive.
