Disney announced earlier in the year that theme park reservations will finally be scrapped for date-based tickets - the UK-Exclusive Disney 7-day and 14-day Magic Tickets are date based tickets - starting January 9th, 2024. Some attractions may (or may not) at the time still use virtual queues, which can currently only be accessed if you have a park reservation. Disney has confirmed that guests can join any one virtual at any theme park where they have valid admission. Guests may hold one attraction virtual queue at a time. For the morning virtual queues, the guests do not need to be in the park, but for the afternoon virtual queues, guests must be scanned and located in the park.

Starting January 9, Guests will be able to join one attraction virtual queue at any theme park where they have valid admission. Guests may hold one attraction virtual queue at a time. Like today:
• Select admission types may also require a theme park reservation to join a virtual queue.
• Guests do not need to be inside a theme park to request to join the virtual queue at 7:00 AM.
• Guests must be inside the theme park to request to join the virtual queue at 1:00 PM.
