Disney Store Reels Of Magic Pin Trading Events: Quick Navigation

When And Where Are The Disney Store Reels Of Magic Pin Trading Events?

The Reels of Magic collection is themed around the characters Walt Disney animated and brought to life himself, so this is the classic end of the Disney catalogue. Each event is a ticketed in-store session where you can trade pins with Cast Members (Disney's name for its staff) and other collectors, and get first go at a batch of location exclusive pins.

The two events are quite different. Manchester is a breakfast-time window at the Disney Store concession inside Selfridges at the Trafford Centre, which officially opened on 14th September 2026. London takes up most of a Wednesday afternoon and evening at the Oxford Street flagship.

How Do You Get Tickets For The Disney Store Pin Trading Events?

Tickets went on sale from 5pm (BST) on Wednesday 21st October 2026, with a separate booking link for each event. Manchester tickets are sold through Eventbrite, while London tickets go through Disney's own ticketing site, which can put you in an online queue before the booking page loads. By 23rd October 2026 London's 3pm, 4.30pm and 6pm slots had sold out, leaving 7.30pm and 9pm.

  1. Open the booking link for the event you want, as Manchester and London are sold separately.
  2. Pick the timeslot that fits your day, because your ticket is only valid for the slot you book.
  3. Choose your number of tickets, remembering that for London everyone attending needs one regardless of age.
  4. If anyone in your group has accessibility requirements, tick the accessibility requirements checkbox before you pay, as Disney Store Guest Services can't add it after purchase.
  5. Pay £25 per person and keep the ticket handy, since it gets swapped for a wristband when you arrive.

Each ticket guarantees entry to one event and includes a complimentary Reels of Magic event pin, with the design being kept secret until the day. A couple pays £50 for one event (2 x £25), and a couple doing both events pays £100 (2 people x 2 events x £25). Tickets are also non-transferable unless the organisers expressly agree, so don't buy one planning to pass it on to a friend.

London has its own booking rules. Bookings are capped at 2 tickets, with any additional tickets booked being voided, and under-16s must attend with an accompanying adult aged 18 or over. The London booking page doesn't list a cancellation policy, while the Manchester Eventbrite listing allows refunds up to 7 days before the event and says you can meet the designer behind the collection. Entrance to the Manchester event is via Peel Avenue.

What Pins Are Available At The Reels Of Magic Pin Trading Events?

London gets 5 location exclusive pins from the Reels of Magic collection and Manchester gets 4. Both events also have an event exclusive pin, an LE pin set (LE is short for limited edition, meaning only a set number are made) and an event pin board, plus first chance to buy pins from the online collection. The range mixes standard designs with jumbo pins.

Disney Store has now shown the pin line-ups for both events, along with 4 pins for Disney Store Dublin from 25th November 2026 and 14 pins going on sale online from 8th December 2026. You can see every line-up in our Reels of Magic pins reveal.

You can buy up to two of each design, and nothing goes on sale before the event starts. Disney Store says stock is limited and it can't guarantee quantities for each timeslot, so keep that in mind if you're going for a later slot.

What Happens When You Arrive At A Disney Store Pin Trading Event?

Bring your ticket, because it gets swapped for a wristband unique to your timeslot on arrival. Disney Store asks people to turn up no earlier than 15 minutes before their slot, and entry is only allowed at the time you booked. Arrive late and your slot isn't guaranteed, although you may be offered a place in the final timeslot of the day if there's space. Filming may also be taking place, with signage at the event setting out the terms.

How Does Pin Trading Work At Disney Store Events?

If you're new to this, pin trading entails swapping enamel pins with Cast Members and other fans, usually from a lanyard or a pin board. Only official Disney pins can be traded, and the main test is a ©Disney mark on the back of a metal pin. Cast Members can still turn down a trade at their discretion.

You can trade up to two pins with each Cast Member, guest or pin board, handing over one pin at a time, and each board only gets one visit from you. The pin you offer shouldn't already be on that person's lanyard or board, and a board can't hold two of the same pin, so bring a backup. Pins need to be in good condition with the backing attached, and money, gifts, vouchers and receipts can't be used to trade, which Disney Store says it will be monitoring. Don't touch anyone else's pins or lanyard either - ask them to bring it closer instead.

Pins You Can Usually Trade

  • Pins showing a Walt Disney World or Disneyland Resort affiliation, which are generally accepted
  • Pins from other parts of The Walt Disney Company such as ABC, ESPN and National Geographic, at the Cast Member's discretion

Pins You Can't Trade

  • Unauthorised pins, plus plastic, rubber or other non-metal pins
  • Personalised name pins
  • Brooch-style or clasp pins
  • Disney Service Award, Disney Legacy Award, Partners in Excellence and Cast Member costume pins

If you've got Walt Disney World pins left over from a Florida trip, they fall into the generally accepted group, so November is a good excuse to dig them out of the drawer.
