Starting today, you can now officially book your 2022 Walt Disney World holiday. However, Disney is preparing guests with the possibility of some COVID-19 restrictions being in place in 2022. The restrictions are listed on the new 2022 booking page and state:

- We have taken enhanced health and safety measures - for you, our other Guests, and Cast Members.
- Park attendance is managed via the Disney Park Pass System.
- Face coverings are required for all Guests (ages 2 and up) except when dining or swimming.
- Temperature screenings are required for entry to some locations.

So for now, you should make your reservations using the Disney Park Pass System, even if we go back to a free-for-all and it's scrapped before 2022 arrives. Don't just assume it will be scrapped though, make sure you make park reservations after you book 2022.

Also keep in mind that Disney have to list these restrictions because depending on how the pandemic continues to play out, it's still a possibility. Even though Disney CEO Bob Chapek said on the recent earnings call:
...But do we believe we'll be in the same state of 6 foot social distance and mask wearing in 22? Absolutely not.
