Magical Shuttle has stopped accepting cash on board its coaches between the Paris airports and Disneyland Paris, with the change in force since 19th October 2026. Fares are €24 per adult and €11 per child under 12 for each journey, and anyone planning to hand the driver euro notes now has to book online or pay cash at a Visit Paris Region Information Centre at Charles de Gaulle, Orly or Disneyland Paris.

Article Summary

  • What's changed: Cash is no longer accepted on board Magical Shuttle coaches from 19th October 2026.

Magical Shuttle Cash Payments: Quick Navigation

The change appears on Magical Shuttle's official payment page, which now advises cash payers to visit the tourist desks rather than paying the coach driver directly. If you've already booked online, nothing changes for you. If your plan was to land, find the coach and pay as you climb aboard, your plans have now changed. Our Magical Shuttle guide covers the routes and pick-up points if you're new to the service.

What Has Changed With Magical Shuttle Payments?

From 19th October 2026, Magical Shuttle coaches between Paris-Charles de Gaulle, Paris-Orly and Disneyland Paris no longer take cash on board. Cash hasn't disappeared completely, but it now has to be handed over at a Visit Paris Region Information Centre before you get to the coach stop. Booking online removes that queue, and Magical Shuttle says an online booking also guarantees you a seat, with an extra coach put on when one fills up.

Where You Pay Cash Accepted From 19/10/2026? Best Suited For
Online before you travel No Most UK families, as an online booking guarantees your seat and the e-ticket works on your phone
Visit Paris Region Information Centre Yes Anyone who has to pay in cash and lands while the desk is open
On board the coach No Nobody carrying only cash

How To Book Magical Shuttle Without Cash

Booking online takes a few minutes, and it's best done from your sofa at home rather than on a trolley at Terminal 2.

  1. Open the Magical Shuttle booking page and choose one way or a return, since both legs can go on one booking.
  2. Pick your airport and your Disney Hotel or bus station stop, then add your dates and the number of adults, children and babies.
  3. Pay online by card, or with PayPal, which is also offered at checkout.
  4. Save the e-ticket from your confirmation email to your phone, as you don't need to print it.
  5. Show the e-ticket to the driver on any coach during service hours, because tickets aren't tied to a specific departure time.

If your plans change, Magical Shuttle asks for changes or cancellations through its contact form at least 48 hours before you travel, and cancellation fees may apply.

If you can't book online, the concierge desk at any Disney Hotel can book Magical Shuttle for you. That's most handy for the journey home, as you can sort the coach back to the airport during your stay rather than leaving it until the last morning.

Where Can You Still Pay Cash For Magical Shuttle?

Magical Shuttle lists these Visit Paris Region Information Centres as the places to pay cash.

  • CDG Terminal 1, Level 5, opposite the Arrivals exit
  • CDG Terminal 2B-2D, Level 0, opposite the Arrivals exit
  • CDG Terminal 2E, Level 0, to the left of the Arrivals exit
  • CDG Terminal 2F, Level 0, opposite the Arrivals exit
  • Orly Terminals 1 and 2, between Arrivals 1 and 2, opposite Exit 14a
  • Orly Terminal 3, opposite Exit 33a
  • Orly Terminal 4, opposite Exit 48a
  • Disneyland Paris, on the forecourt of Chessy Nord station, opposite Disney Village

Opening hours are where this gets awkward. Visit Paris Region lists its CDG desks in Terminals 1, 2B/D, 2E and 2F as open daily from 7.15am to 8.45pm, apart from 25th December, 1st January and 1st May. That covers the last coaches, which leave Terminal 1 at 18h25 and Terminals 2E and 2F at 18h45.

Orly 4 is a different story. Its Information Centre is listed as open Monday to Saturday from 7.15am to 2.45pm and closed on Sundays, while Magical Shuttle coaches keep leaving Orly 4 until 19h00. Land there on a Sunday, or on a weekday afternoon, with only cash and you'll have a coach to catch and nowhere to pay for it.

For the trip home, you've got two options if you didn't book a return. The concierge desk at any Disney Hotel can book the coach for you, and the Chessy Nord desk takes cash if that's how you need to pay.

How Much Does Magical Shuttle Cost In Pounds?

Fares are the same from CDG and Orly, and they're priced per journey, so a return is double.

Ticket Price In Euros Approx Price In Pounds
Adult, one way €24 £20.40
Child under 12, one way €11 £9.35
Baby aged 0-2 Free Free
Family of 4 (2 adults, 2 under 12s), one way €70 £59.50
Family of 4 (2 adults, 2 under 12s), return €140 £119.00

Euro fares from Magical Shuttle, checked 22/10/2026. Pound figures use roughly £0.85 per €1 from October 2026, and your bank's rate and fees will differ.

Some UK cards add a non-sterling transaction fee to euro payments. At 3%, that would add about €4.20 (around £3.57) to a €140 family return, so a fee-free travel card is the better way to pay now that cash is out of the picture on board.

Is Magical Shuttle Still Worth Using For Disneyland Paris?

For most families flying in, yes. The fares and the door-to-hotel drop-off are the same as before, and the only thing that's gone is the option to pay with notes on the coach. Our full Magical Shuttle review covers the comfort, luggage space and journey times in detail.
