Disneyland Paris has shared a fresh round of updates for Disney Village, including a new Italian restaurant, a reopening date for a fan favourite diner, and a redesign for one of its longest-running restaurants. What Is Happening To Disney Village At Disneyland Paris?
Disney Village sits between the two Disneyland Paris theme parks and the Disney hotels, and it's free to enter without a park ticket. It's been going through a phased transformation since December 2023, when Brasserie Rosalie opened as the first new addition. That first phase, covering what Disneyland Paris is calling the North Block, is now nearing completion, and a second phase covering the opposite side of the main promenade, the South Block, is being lined up to start next year.
The teams behind it, Walt Disney Imagineering Paris, Operating Participants and Design & Delivery, are working to a shared design language across every new or refurbished venue, mixing brick, wood and steel with more glass fronting so you can see into the shops and restaurants from outside.

Disney Wonders: The New Shop

It's the first of the new Disney Village venues on this list to open its doors, replacing the current Disney Store.
Casa Giulia: The New Italian Restaurant From Groupe Bertrand
Casa Giulia will open by the end of 2026, close to the cinema and World of Disney. It's run by Groupe Bertrand, the same operator behind Brasserie Rosalie, and it's a two-storey family restaurant with around 260 seats inside and a further 120 on an outdoor terrace. This replaced Planet Hollywood.
Expect classic Italian dishes with a seasonal menu, plus Italian cocktails. Alongside the main restaurant sits Giulia Express, a quick-service and takeaway counter with its own 40-seat terrace, serving pizza by the slice, focaccia and Italian pastries and ice cream.

Pathé Cinema: What We Already Know
The Disney Village cinema, formerly Gaumont, is confirmed to become Pathé from 2027, with a phased refurbishment starting in September 2026 covering a new facade, recliner seating and a new games area. Vapiano's Full Redesign At Disney Village
Vapiano has been part of Disney Village for 10 years, and from the end of 2026 it's getting a full interior redesign. The new look moves to a more contemporary, neutral colour palette with red accents in keeping with the brand, along with more natural light. There's also a new children's play area planned for the upper floor, and the terrace is being refreshed with new furniture and planting. The work is due to finish in early 2027.
When Will Annette's Diner Reopen At Disney Village?
Annette's Diner is set to reopen in the first quarter of 2027. It's been closed since January 2026 for what Disneyland Paris describes as an extensive refurbishment, and it's due to keep the retro spirit it's had since 1992 rather than losing its theming entirely.
The kitchens are being expanded into the former currency exchange and takeaway space, and the whole dining room is being redone from the floor up, with new booth seating in pink, blue and vanilla yellow inspired by 1950s American cars. The jukeboxes that used to sit beside the booths are being restored and moved to the walls as decorative features, and a bespoke wallpaper with burger, milkshake and jukebox motifs is being added throughout. Ben & Jerry's continues to present the restaurant. Outside, the terrace is being repaved and replanted.

New Christmas Decorations Arrive From November 2026
While Disney Enchanted Christmas runs inside Disneyland Park itself, Disney Village is getting its own festive dressing up from November onwards. New Christmas trees and giant decorative snowflakes, themed around Disney, Pixar, Marvel and Star Wars characters and made with support from Coca-Cola, are arriving throughout the district, along with new photo spots. Sports Bar & Lounge is also getting Christmas wreaths and garlands.
A few smaller extras are planned too, including an exclusive postcard from selected Cast Members and a limited edition Christmas coaster from Coca-Cola for anyone ordering a Coca-Cola drink at Sports Bar & Lounge, both subject to availability.
The South Block And The Rainforest Cafe Closure
With the North Block phase drawing to a close, Disneyland Paris has shared a first look at concept art for the next stage, covering the other side of the main promenade, referred to as the South Block. It uses the same wood, brick and perforated steel look as the rest of the transformation, and work on it is due to begin next year.
Full details of what's moving into the South Block haven't been shared yet, but Disneyland Paris has confirmed that the Rainforest Cafe will close permanently by the end of 2026 as part of this next phase. What Does This Mean For Your Disneyland Paris Trip?
None of this changes how you get to or around Disney Village day to day. It's still free to enter and doesn't need a park ticket, and if you're travelling by rail from the UK you'll take the Eurostar from London St Pancras to Lille Europe, then a connecting TGV on to Marne-la-Vallée-Chessy. A few practical points worth building into your planning though.
- A table at Vapiano over the Christmas holiday period may be limited, since the restaurant will be mid-refurbishment and may have reduced capacity or be shut entirely.
- Casa Giulia's "end of 2026" opening window is vague enough that it might not be ready for an early winter trip, so treat it as a bonus rather than something to plan a meal around just yet.
- Annette's Diner's return in the first quarter of 2027 could land close to the February half term, which mostly falls between 15th and 19th February 2027 in England, so it's worth checking nearer the time if that's a must-visit for your family.
- If you want one last visit to the Rainforest Cafe, you'll need to fit it in before the end of 2026.
- The Pathé Cinema refurbishment is being done in phases, so it shouldn't disrupt an evening trip in the meantime.
