Disney has made the decision to permanently end "Happily Ever After" on September 29th, 2021. Disney announced recently there will be a new nighttime spectacular for the 50th anniversary celebrations beginning October 1st called "Disney Enchantment". It appears that this new show made for the 50th anniversary will continue to be the new permanent Magic Kingdom nighttime spectacular going forward. The revelation was snuck into the bottom of a Disney Parks Blog post about some entertainment offerings returning.
"Happily Ever After" only debuted about 4 years ago, replacing "Wishes", to high praise, so it's going to be sad to see it go so soon.
We also recently announced that all-new nighttime spectaculars "Disney Enchantment" and "Harmonious" would be debuting October 1 as part of The World's Most Magical Celebration. That means this summer is also your last chance to come out and catch the current fireworks shows before they sparkle into Disney history.
