Back in 2024, Walt Disney World drastically changed their DAS reducing the types of broad range of disabilities the service covers. Disney has emphasised DAS is now only a system for guests with "a developmental disability like autism or similar." In-person registration will no longer be available at the theme park Guest Relations, all applications must be done through a virtual call with a cast member either before arrival or on the day. From the UK this isn't strictly available, but you can do it using a VPN. If you wait until the day you arrive at Walt Disney World, you can still apply, but it must be done via a virtual call with your phone or laptop.

Walt Disney World this week made a change, increasing how long a DAS is valid for if approved. Up from the original 120 days, DAS is now valid for one full year. So guests will not have to reapply again until a year has passed since their last approval.

DAS is valid for the length of the ticket or up to 1 year, whichever is shorter. Once the service has elapsed, Guests need to re-register for the program.
