How Buying Disney World Tickets Online Works

There are several ways to buy your Walt Disney World tickets online. The 3 most popular ways is to buy direct through Disney, buy through one of the many third-party vendors, or as part as a Disney Package holiday through Disney directly or a travel agent such as Virgin or TUI.

Many people DIY their Disney World holiday. Which means you'll be buying each part of your Disney holiday separately. This gives you the freedom to explore all the deals available and get the best value for money – especially as prices can fluctuate from vendor to vendor.

When it comes to Disney World tickets, you either add them in bundled with your ATOL protected holiday, or you buy them through a vendor and add them to your My Disney Experience account yourself to use when you arrive. Even if you are booking a holiday package, you do not need to purchase tickets in the package, you can still book those separately and get them elsewhere. (The only way this doesn't apply is if you're redeeming the Disney Free Dining offer because you must purchase tickets at the same time as booking your resort.)

Buying Through Disney

If you want to buy your tickets direct through Disney, just go to Disney's ticket site (click here to view it), choose which ticket you want, sign in, purchase and you're done. It'll automatically add to your My Disney Experience account. Super quick, super easy.

Buying Through Vendors

You can buy tickets through third-party vendors like FloridaTix, where they will send you a unique code to redeem in your My Disney Experience account. You sometimes get a physical card, too.

The benefit of buying through a third-party vendor is they tend to throw in freebies with your tickets. Sometimes these freebies include Florida Mall discount cards, money off vouchers around Orlando and reveal kits for children, to name a few.

When you purchase your ticket through a third party vendor, all you have to do is login to your My Disney Experience app, location the ticket section.

Enter the code and you're done. It'll be added to your Disney account and ready to use.

If you're going to add tickets though the My Disney Experience mobile app, location the tickets section, click the + on the top corner and then type in or scan the number.
