If you're planning to travel to Florida (or the USA in general) you might want to know how many months remaining you need on your passport. Each country has different requirements, and unlike most EU countries that require between 3 and 6 months to remain on your passport, this is not the case for the USA. As it says on the UK Foreign Advice website:
If you are visiting the USA your passport should be valid for the proposed duration of your stay. You don't need any additional period of validity on your passport beyond this.
So long as the day you leave the USA is the day before the final day (your expiry date) of your passport, you're all good.
Although keep in mind that this rules applies only if you're flying from the UK. If you're travelling through France (and you're English with an English passport) the rules of France will apply to you. The US requires 3 months left on your passport coming from an EU country, so that's something to watch out for.
