The internet was set on fire a few days ago when cast member interrupted a proposal at Disneyland Paris. The poster said they had permission from a female cast member to go onto the stage area (where guests are not allowed) to do the proposal, but another cast member saw the guests appear to sneak onto the stage and interrupted the proposal, grabbing the ring, and then escorted the guests off.
Disney released a statement to Newsweek offering an apology to the couple. "We regret how this was handled," the Disney spokesperson added. "We have apologized to the couple involved and offered to make it right."
Keep in mind, Disney aren't saying the cast member was in the wrong for stopping guests going onto the out of bounds area. From what I can tell, they're apologising due to how it was handled, likely due to the cast member taking the ring out of the guests hand rather than interrupting and escorting them off without making physical contact.
