Disney Believe: Quick Navigation

What Is The Disney Believe?

The Disney Believe is the next ship joining the Disney Cruise Line fleet, following the Disney Wish, Disney Treasure and Disney Destiny. Disney has described it as a ship that celebrates belief in magic, family and in yourself. Disney shared the news on their Disney Believe Ship's log (via Disney Parks Blog).

What Has Disney Revealed About The Grand Hall?

Every Wish-class Disney Cruise Line ship has a Grand Hall (also known as an atrium), and on the Disney Believe it's themed to Disney's Moana. A bronze statue of Moana, joined by Pua and Heihei, will sit as the focal point. Claire Weiss, Portfolio Executive Creative Director at Disney Experiences, unveiled the rendering at D23. According to the design details shared, the space will lean into the South Pacific setting of the films, with Polynesian finishes intended to reflect the cultural traditions of the region.

What Exterior Artwork Will The Disney Believe Have?

Every new Disney Cruise Line ship gets its own unique character artwork on the hull, and the Disney Believe is no exception. Two areas were shown off at D23, the stern and the bow, and they're very different in tone.

Woody And Buzz Lightyear On The Stern

Large sculptures of Woody and Buzz Lightyear will appear on the ship's stern, shown working together to etch the ship's name using oversized yellow crayons. Rather than the looped calligraphy you'll have seen on the rest of the fleet, the Disney Believe's name will be written in a playful block-style font that nods to the Toy Story franchise.

Tinker Bell And Peter Pan On The Bow

The bow will carry a hand-painted filigree design of Tinker Bell as she first appeared in the 1953 Peter Pan. She'll be flanked by silhouettes of Peter, Wendy, Captain Hook and other characters from the film, worked into a swirling pattern across the hull.

Which Disney Stories Will Shape The Ship's Venues?

Beyond the Grand Hall, Disney has confirmed that venue concepts and entertainment across the ship will draw on Encanto, Frozen, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Moana and The Little Mermaid. No specifics have been given yet on which restaurants, bars or shows will be tied to which film, so this is one to watch as more of the Ship's Log gets published.

When Does The Disney Believe Set Sail?

Disney has only given a "late 2027" window for the Disney Believe's launch so far, with no specific month or maiden voyage date confirmed. The ship is being built at the Meyer Werft Shipyard in Papenburg, Germany, which has built every ship in the Disney Cruise Line fleet to date.

What Does This Mean For UK Disney Cruise Line Fans?

None of this changes anything for UK guests right now, but it's worth putting on your radar if you're already a fan of the fleet. Disney hasn't confirmed a homeport for the Disney Believe. As far as I'm aware, the Disney Wish, Disney Treasure and Disney Destiny all sail from Port Canaveral in Florida, so it wouldn't be a huge surprise if the Believe followed the same pattern, but I'd treat that as an educated guess rather than a confirmed fact until Disney says otherwise.

For UK guests, that would most likely mean flying into Orlando International Airport (MCO) ahead of boarding, which is the same journey most people make for a Walt Disney World holiday. If you're the sort of family who likes to combine a few days at the parks with a cruise, it's worth having a look at our Walt Disney World offers guide for UK guests and our Disney World tickets guide while you're planning ahead.

No booking window or pricing has been announced for the Disney Believe itself yet, so there's nothing to book directly for this ship right now. If you'd rather not wait and want to see what's currently available on the existing fleet or a Walt Disney World and cruise combination, that's worth checking directly.
