What Is Changing At Palo On Disney Cruise Line?
Disney Cruise Line has emailed Platinum and Pearl Castaway Club members with upcoming sailings to say Palo, Palo Steakhouse and Palo Trattoria will move away from the prix-fixe dinner menu from 22nd October 2026. Only the à la carte menu will be offered, so your bill is whatever you order.

The $55 credit for Platinum and Pearl members remains in tact, and from 22nd October 2026 it goes towards a broad range of à la carte dinner dishes.
How Does The $55 Castaway Club Palo Credit Work?
According to Disney's Castaway Club Palo benefit FAQ, Platinum and Pearl members and the guests staying in their stateroom each get a $55 USD credit per sailing towards eligible à la carte dinner menu items at Palo, Palo Steakhouse or Palo Trattoria. For a couple sharing a stateroom, that's $110 of dinner credit per sailing ($55 x 2).
There are conditions attached. The Platinum or Pearl member has to be at the dinner if anyone from their stateroom is using the credit, and drinks and gratuities are always on top, along with anything that goes over the credit. Any credit you don't use is forfeited and can't be swapped for cash or passed to anyone else. Disney strongly recommends booking in advance, and minimum age restrictions may apply.
Can You Use The Castaway Club Credit At Palo Brunch?
Officially, no. The email to members and the Castaway Club FAQ both say the credit is valid for dinner only and that brunch isn't included.
"As a reminder, brunch is not included in this offer."
- Disney Cruise Line email to Platinum and Pearl Castaway Club members, October 2026
The dinner-only rule has always been written into the Castaway Club perks, yet members, like ourselves, have still been able to put the credit towards brunch on board. That "As a reminder" in Disney's email points towards standard wording repeated alongside the menu news. Neither the email nor the FAQ says whether ships will now apply the rule more strictly, but we'll update this article once we have confirmation of whether it will be enforced.
