Disney Cruise Line 2027 & 2028: Quick Navigation

What's Changing With Disney Cruise Line For 2027 And 2028

Disney Cruise Line has confirmed its itineraries for autumn 2027 through spring 2028. The Disney Wish leaves her usual Port Canaveral Bahamas loop behind for a first ever European season followed by a first ever New York season. The Disney Destiny, which has only been sailing since November 2025, opens the season in Fort Lauderdale before making her first ever move to Port Canaveral. Alongside those two headline moves, pretty much the entire fleet is shuffling around too, with more sailings from Puerto Rico, California and Texas.

For UK guests, the two changes worth paying attention to first are the New York season and the Destiny switch, and in the Destiny's case, how easily you could pair a cruise with a Walt Disney World stay on a ship you probably haven't experienced yet.

The New Disney Wish Sailings From New York

From late September 2027, the Disney Wish will run seven sailings from New York, each between four and seven nights, marking Disney Cruise Line's first regular New York season since 2023. Five of the sailings call at the pink sand beaches of Bermuda, with three of those extending the stop by an extra day. Others head north to Boston, Massachusetts, and along the Canadian coast to St John, New Brunswick, and Halifax, Nova Scotia, timed for peak autumn colour, the first time Disney has sailed that stretch of coast from New York in nearly four years.

Early listings on Disney's own booking site show prices from around £2,138 for a five-night Bermuda cruise ending in San Juan, and from £2,294 for a five-night Canada and New England sailing, both based on two guests. Those are early "Coming Soon" figures and will move once booking opens. You can view the New York cruises on the Disney Cruise Line website here.

Once the New York season wraps up, the Disney Wish sails a five-night voyage to San Juan with a stop in Bermuda, then a seven-night Southern Caribbean cruise from San Juan calling at Aruba, St Maarten, Bonaire and Dominica, before repositioning to Port Canaveral for three and four-night Bahamian cruises alongside her sister ships.

The Disney Wish Will Sail From The UK Before New York

Before the Disney Wish reaches New York, she begins with a transatlantic repositioning cruise from Port Canaveral to Europe in late April 2027. She then spends summer 2027 based in Southampton for her first ever UK sailings.

Once that season wraps up, the Wish leaves Southampton on 17th September 2027 for a 12-night transatlantic sailing over to New York, calling at Greenock (for Glasgow and Edinburgh) in Scotland, Reykjavik in Iceland, St. John's in Newfoundland, Canada, before finishing in New York on 29th September.

Early "Coming Soon" pricing for this crossing starts from £3,972 for an inside stateroom, rising to £4,218 for an oceanview, £4,711 for a verandah and £9,124 for concierge, all for two guests including taxes, fees and port expenses.

The Disney Destiny Moving To Port Canaveral

The Disney Destiny has sailed from Fort Lauderdale since her maiden voyage in November 2025, offering four, five and seven night Bahamas and Caribbean cruises. She opens the autumn 2027 season still in Fort Lauderdale, continuing three to five night Bahamas and Western Caribbean cruises, before making her first ever move to Port Canaveral for three to seven night sailings to the Bahamas and Western Caribbean. The Disney Destiny cruise website page already shows a four-night Bahamian cruise from Port Canaveral in January 2028 with early "Coming Soon" pricing from £1,903 for two guests including taxes, fees and port expenses.

This one will be most relevant to UK guests who add on a Disney cruise while visiting Orlando. Port Canaveral is about 45 minutes (45 miles) from Orlando International Airport and around an hour (60 miles) from Walt Disney World, whereas Fort Lauderdale is closer to 3 hours away. Once she's settled at Port Canaveral, the Destiny becomes one of three Wish class ships based there alongside the Wish and Treasure, all within easy reach of Walt Disney World.

Where Is The Rest Of The Disney Cruise Line Fleet Sailing

It isn't just the Wish and Destiny. Disney Cruise Line's senior vice president Tracy Wilson said the line is "helping our guests create lasting memories in even more destinations" with this release, and looking at the rest of the fleet.

Ship Homeports Highlights
Disney Treasure Port Canaveral Continues her usual seven-night Eastern and Western Caribbean cruises to Tortola and Falmouth, plus one eight-night Eastern Caribbean sailing and one six-night Bahamian cruise with two Castaway Cay stops.
Disney Dream Port Canaveral, then Fort Lauderdale from November 2027 Starts with three and four-night Bahamas sailings from Port Canaveral, then moves to Fort Lauderdale for three to five-night Bahamian cruises and one six-night sailing with two Castaway Cay stops.
Disney Fantasy Port Canaveral, San Juan, then Fort Lauderdale Sails four and five-night Bahamas and Western Caribbean cruises from Port Canaveral, then two San Juan sailings, then four to seven-night Bahamas and Eastern Caribbean cruises from Fort Lauderdale, including her first ever eight-night Bermuda cruise.
Disney Magic San Diego, then Galveston Sails Baja and Mexican Riviera cruises from San Diego, then a 14-night Panama Canal repositioning to Galveston in November 2027 with a maiden call at Panama City, before a 14-night return crossing to San Diego in March 2028 calling at Colon, Panama for the first time.
Disney Wonder San Diego Sails three to seven-night Baja and Mexican Riviera cruises throughout the season, calling at Ensenada, Cabo San Lucas and Catalina Island.
Disney Adventure Singapore Continues three and four-night sailings from Singapore, with a new stop at Langkawi, Malaysia added to select sailings.

There's also more happening from San Juan, with the Disney Fantasy adding a seven-night Southern Caribbean cruise in December 2027 and two further seven-night Southern Caribbean sailings in spring 2028 calling at Curaçao, Bonaire, Barbados and Antigua.

On the seasonal side, Halloween on the High Seas returns from September 2027, and Very Merrytime sailings are back in November and December 2027 across select ships.

How Does This Affect UK Disney Cruisers

For anyone planning a Disney cruise from the UK, this announcement changes a few things.

  • If you want to do a New York cruise on a Disney ship specifically, you'll be flying into JFK, Newark or a similar New York airport. If you want to add an Orlando trip, you can also book a flight from New York airports to Orlando to continue your trip.
  • Want a Disney cruise with no flight at all? The Wish's Southampton season in summer 2027 is your best bet, sailing straight out of the UK.
  • Combining a cruise with Walt Disney World? The Destiny's eventual move to Port Canaveral for 2028 makes that option far more practical than her old Fort Lauderdale base, and with the Wish and Treasure also based there, you've got more choice than ever near the parks.

Several UK airports fly direct to New York, including Heathrow, Manchester and Gatwick, so if the New York season appeals it's worth pricing up flights alongside the cruise itself rather than treating them as separate bookings.
