Disney Cruise To Require ALL Guests Aged 5+ To Be Fully Vaccinated

The CDC recently approved the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine for children aged 5 and up, and now Disney Cruise Line - which follows CDC advice - is requiring all passengers aged 5+ to be fully vaccinated for sailings on January 13th, 2022 and beyond. Disney updated their "Know Before You Go" page with this new requirement.
Currently, Disney Cruise Line continues to require all vaccine-eligible Guests (based on US eligibility requirements) to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, as defined by the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), at the time of sailing. This will be a requirement for all Guests (US and international) ages 5 and up for sailings beginning on or after January 13, 2022. Guests who are not vaccine-eligible because of age must provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test result (paid for by the Guest) taken between 3 days and 24 hours before their sail date. Here in the UK we (at the time of writing) are only vaccinating our children with one dose, thus not officially being "fully vaccinated". Disney Cruise Line has confirmed that anyone - including children - who have not had 2 vaccinations will not be able to travel on a Disney Cruise starting next year.
While policy here in the UK might change and children will end up being offered a second jab, until then - depending on when your cruise is booked for - you will need to plan accordingly.
