Disney has quietly tidied up the naming for its Walt Disney World dining plans. The long-running Disney Dining Plan is now called the Table-Service Dining Plan - a change that makes much more sense, given that "Disney Dining Plan" tells you very little about what you're actually getting.

With the Deluxe Table-Service Dining Plan joining the lineup for 2027, Disney has taken the opportunity to tidy up the plan names to avoid any confusion.

Here's a breakdown of all three plans as they now stand.

Quick-Service Dining Plan (Same As Before)

This option suits families who would rather be on a ride than sat at a table. You order at a counter, find a spot, eat, and get on with your day - no advance dining reservations (ADRs) needed. Available at over 100 locations across the resort.

What's Included (Per Guest, Per Night)

For guests aged 3 and over, per night of your stay:

  • 2 Quick-Service meals
  • 1 drink (alcoholic or non-alcoholic) per meal
  • 1 snack or drink credit
  • 1 Resort-Refillable Drink Mug

Credits can be used at any point during your stay rather than day by day, which gives you a bit of flexibility if you want to double up on meals one day and eat light the next.

Table-Service Dining Plan

Formerly just called the Disney Dining Plan - now renamed to actually reflect what it includes. This is the mid-tier option, mixing counter service meals with sit-down restaurant credits, which can be used on Character Dining experiences as well if that's your thing. Available at 200+ locations.

What's Included (Per Guest, Per Night)

For guests aged 3 and over, per night of your stay:

  • 1 Table-Service meal
  • 1 Quick-Service meal
  • 1 drink (alcoholic or non-alcoholic) per meal
  • 1 snack or drink credit
  • 1 Resort-Refillable Drink Mug

Deluxe Table-Service Dining Plan

New for 2027, and covered in more detail in our Deluxe Table-Service Dining Plan article, the top tier adds a second Table-Service credit per night, which opens the door to Signature Dining restaurants - the fancier end of Disney's restaurant portfolio. Also available at 200+ locations.

What's Included (Per Guest, Per Night)

For guests aged 3 and over, per night of your stay:

  • 2 Table-Service meals
  • 1 Quick-Service meal
  • 1 drink (alcoholic or non-alcoholic) per meal
  • 1 snack or drink credit
  • 1 Resort-Refillable Drink Mug

How to Add a Dining Plan to Your Booking

Dining plans are only available as part of a Walt Disney World Resort hotel package - you can't bolt one on to a standalone ticket. You can either choose a package that includes one from the outset, or call to modify an existing hotel reservation to add one. UK guests can book packages including dining plans directly with Disney here.

If you haven't already seen it, the free 2027 dining offer is also worth a look - the updated plan details are now live, and you can check them here.
