Walt Disney Studios Park Is Now Disney Adventure World. Disneyland Paris has officially renamed its second park and it opened to the public on Sunday 29th March 2026 with Spider-Man swinging in first to announce the name change from the top of the Earffel Tower.
The Big New Addition: World of Frozen
The centrepiece of the whole transformation is World of Frozen - a fully immersive land built around the Kingdom of Arendelle, complete with a 36-metre North Mountain topped by Elsa's Ice Palace. The theming is heavy on Scandinavian architecture and Norwegian decorative art, so it looks the part.
The headline attraction is Frozen Ever After, a musical family-friendly boat ride. There's also a meet-and-greet with Anna and Elsa inside Arendelle Castle (via virtual queue on the app), a daytime water show called A Celebration in Arendelle, and an animatronic Olaf that Walt Disney Imagineering is very proud of - though they do note he might be replaced by a puppet if the weather turns, after all, it is France.
Dining in the land comes via Nordic Crowns Tavern, serving Nordic-inspired food with vegan and gluten-free options, plus two shops for your Frozen merchandise needs.

The new main avenue - Adventure Way - connects the park's existing lands (Marvel Avengers Campus and Worlds of Pixar) to World of Frozen, all arranged around a new 7.5-acre central lake called Adventure Bay. Along the way there's a new family ride, Raiponce Tangled Spin, which puts guests in gondolas twirling through scenes from Tangled to the tune of "I See the Light."
There are 15 new dining locations being phased in along Adventure Way - though not all will be open from day one. Highlights include The Regal View Restaurant & Lounge, a table-service restaurant with Disney Princess dining and views over the lake, plus the park's first-ever lounge serving champagne cocktails. There's also a hot dog and cinnamon roll café, bread bowls, New York Rolls, and enough food kiosks to keep you going.
Disney Cascade of Lights
Come nightfall, Adventure Bay becomes the stage for Disney Cascade of Lights - the park's first permanent nightly spectacular. The show features over 380 drones (including aquatic ones), pyrotechnics, water screens, flames, fountains and projections, drawing on Moana, Mulan, Hercules, Zootopia, Up and the Marvel Universe.
The Opening Ceremony
The night before public opening, Disney held an inauguration event sponsored by Visa. Attendees included CEO Josh D'Amaro, Holly Willoughby, Emma Bunton, Wayne and Coleen Rooney, and Janette Manrara among others. French-American singer Santa performed a set including "Let It Go" alongside an 11-year-old Make-A-Wish child called Lou - marking the 25,000th wish granted at Disneyland Paris since 1992. The creative team behind Frozen 3 were also in attendance, which reminds us that film is well and truly on its way.

📅 Search Cheapest Disneyland Paris DatesWhat Does This Mean for UK Visitors?
For UK visitors, this is arguably the most significant upgrade Disneyland Paris has seen in years - and the timing couldn't be better. With Eurostar running direct from London St Pancras to Marne-la-Vallée in around two and a half hours, Paris has always been the most accessible Disney destination outside of the UK itself. What Disney Adventure World does is finally give that second park a proper reason to exist. Previously, many British visitors would spend the bulk of their trip in Disneyland Park and treat Walt Disney Studios as a half-day add-on. With World of Frozen, a nightly spectacular and a raft of new dining, that's no longer a fair assessment. If you've been on the fence about whether a two-park trip is worth the extra cost, this answers that question fairly decisively. Families with Frozen fans in tow - and let's be honest, that's most of us - now have a very compelling reason to book sooner rather than later.
