Summary: A fantastic cosy well-themed lounge with a great drinks selection, awesome crew members, and tasty snacks.

Keg & Compass is a Viking-themed pub lounge onboard the Disney Wish. The décor is inspired by the wood carvings of a historic Viking ship and includes a grand maritime map that spans the entire ceiling—rich with illustrations of Disney locales, characters and icons. There are so many details around the lounge and so much effort was put into designing this space.

Keg & Compass is a super cosy lounge. There are TV screens playing sports but they don't put the volume loud at all and you barely know they're there unless you're paying attention to them- which we weren't.

The drinks selection is great and they're at reasonable prices. Most of the beers are $6-$10 with multi-buy offers. There are a few cocktails and a large wine selection. You can also grab some Disney Wish beer mugs that cost around $15 each. Use these at any bar or lounge on the ship and get a 22oz pour instead of the standard 16oz pour for the duration of your cruise. When you're done at one bar, you can grab a token and get a fresh one at any other lounge so you don't need to carry it around with you (but you can if you want), then at end of the cruise, you can take it home.

While I'm not a fan of paying more for food when there's so much included food on the Disney Wish, we really wanted to try the pretzel with our beers. It's an $8 salted German Pretzel served with German mustard and beer cheese. It was delicious!

The crew members in Keg & Compass were the most fun and engaging of all the lounges onboard.

A little side story. We totally had a Friends moment at Keg & Compass. On the first evening, we went to check out the lounge for the first time and we found a nice little cosy table in the corner we liked the look of. We probably visited this lounge 5 or 6 times over the 4-night cruise, and each time we were quite surprised that the table was always free. On the final full day, we went in to grab and drink and looked over and another couple sat on "our table". We sort of looked at each other and seemed lost.

In summary, we have nothing bad to say about Keg & Compass. We loved being in there and was our favourite place to sit for drinks and snacks onboard the Disney Wish. Disney did a really good job with this lounge and the choices of crew members working there.

Mickey From The UK Review Policy

Our reviews are based on our own visits, our own experience and our own money unless we say otherwise. We're honest with both the good and the not-so-good. When that happens, the aim isn't to put you off Disney - it's to point you towards a better option, whether that's a different restaurant, hotel or experience. We want your time and money going towards the parts of the trip that will make it even better - which is good for you, and good for Disney too.
