Disney Sequoia Lodge: New Rooms Open For Booking September

Bookings for the newly refurbished rooms at Disney Sequoia Lodge open from mid-September 2026, Disneyland Paris has confirmed, ahead of the rooms themselves becoming available to stay in from early 2027. The rooms take their design cues from Bambi, Pocahontas and Brave.

We first told you about the room themes back in April when Disneyland Paris confirmed the refurbishment was underway. Now there's an actual date attached to it, which is the bit most people actually want to know. When Can You Book the New Rooms

Bookings open from mid-September 2026. Disney hasn't given an exact date within the month, so keep an eye on this article as we'll update it once one's confirmed. This timeline lines up with our How far in advance can you book Disneyland Paris guide. The rooms themselves won't be ready to actually stay in until the first quarter of 2027, so there's a gap of a few months between being able to book and being able to check in.

This is fairly standard for Disneyland Paris refurbishments. It gives the hotel booking system time to load the new room categories before guests start turning up. If you're already planning an early 2027 trip, it's worth checking dates on the Disneyland Paris pricing calendar once bookings open, since availability in these rooms is likely to be limited at first given only the five outdoor lodge buildings are affected in this phase.

How to Book the New Sequoia Lodge Rooms

Once bookings open, here's roughly what to expect if you want one of the new rooms specifically.

1. Wait for booking to open in mid-September 2026 and check for the new rooms, they will be clearly labelled.
2. Search for stays from the first quarter of 2027 onwards, since that's when the refurbished rooms become available.
3. If booking direct with Disney or through a package, ask or check whether the new room theme can be requested.
4. Book early if you have a specific theme in mind. With only the outdoor lodges affected initially, the pool of new rooms will be smaller than the hotel's usual room count.

What the Rooms Look Like

The three themes draw on Bambi, Pocahontas and Brave, which fits neatly with the woodland setting Sequoia Lodge already has. Disney describes the new look as paying tribute to nature while celebrating the characters who "live in the forest".

Bar and Boutique Closures From February 2027

Separately, Disney has confirmed that from 19th February 2027, the Sequoia Lodge bar and boutique will close temporarily for refurbishment. This runs alongside the room works rather than being part of the same announcement, but it's relevant if you're staying at the hotel around that time.

While the bar and boutique are closed, guests can still use the bars and boutiques at nearby Disney Hotels and in Disney Village. A small retail point in the Sequoia Lodge lobby will sell drinks, snacks and a limited range of souvenirs. Disney has said characters will still make appearances in the hotel lobby at certain times during this period.

Restaurants and other main services at the hotel will keep running as normal throughout.

What This Means for Your Trip

None of this should put you off booking Disney Sequoia Lodge, but there are a few things worth factoring into your planning depending on when you're going.

• If you specifically want one of the new themed rooms, you'll need to wait until mid-September 2026 to book and travel from Q1 2027 onwards.
• If you're travelling from 19th February 2027, expect the bar and boutique to be closed, with a smaller retail point in the lobby instead.
• Daytime building work may mean some background noise during the day, though Disney says this won't run into the evening.
• Restaurants and character appearances continue as normal, so it's not a case of the hotel losing its atmosphere while work goes on.
• If avoiding any refurbishment noise entirely matters to you, it may be worth choosing a different Disney Hotel for early 2027 stays and revisiting Sequoia Lodge once this phase is complete.

Compared with flying out from the UK and paying for flights on top of your hotel, a short spell of daytime noise or a temporarily relocated boutique is unlikely to be a dealbreaker for most families. It's really only worth thinking twice about if a quiet stay is your priority.
