The Golden Forest Club at Disney Sequoia Lodge is the hotel's premium club level tier, offering private check-in, breakfast, afternoon tea, lounge access and turndown service. Our room sat on the 7th floor of the main building. Based on our stay, we'd rate it 4 out of 5 - worth it at the lower end of the price premium, but with some frustrations. Here is our honest review of the Golden Forest Club Level experience at Disney Sequoia Lodge, Disneyland Paris.

Read on for the full breakdown including what's actually different about the rooms, why the lounge needs a rethink, and how Golden Forest compares to club level at Walt Disney World.
We have stayed at Disney Sequoia Lodge many times in the past (as we share in our Disney Sequoia Lodge review) but this trip we decided to try out the Golden Forest Club Level experience at the hotel. There were parts of the Golden Forest service we loved and other parts that were somewhat frustrating - all of which we go into in this review so you can work out if the upgrade is worth it for you.
Disney Sequoia Lodge Golden Forest Summary
- ✓ Great service from all cast members involved
- ✓ Extra perks like private check-in and luggage assistance makes a difference
- ✓ Turndown service is a nice touch just as it is on Disney Cruise Line
- ⚠ The Golden Forest Lounge, while lovely to sit in, can be frustrating to get drinks during the day
- ⚠ While Disney Sequoia Lodge rooms are still lovely, there's not much extra in the Golden Forest rooms and they are getting a little rough around the edges
For our review of other parts of the hotel after many stays in a standard room, please see our Disney Sequoia Lodge review as this article will just go into the Golden Forest Club experience.

📅 Search Cheapest Disneyland Paris DatesAbout Disney Sequoia Lodge Golden Forest
Golden Forest is the Disney Sequoia Lodge "club level" service at Disneyland Paris, which advertises extra amenities and perks over the standard rooms. The majority of the Golden Forest rooms (excluding the suites) are the same as the standard rooms, the only real discernible difference is there's a fridge in the room. As far as I could tell the coffee facilities, bathroom amenities and bed sheets are identical to the standard rooms. The Golden Forest Club benefits include:
- Private check-in desk
- Luggage service
- Breakfast and afternoon tea
- Access to Golden Forest Club Lounge
- Turndown service
- Fridge/cooler in your room
If those perks sound like the kind of upgrade you'd actually use, it's worth comparing the Golden Forest premium against a standard room for your dates through Disneyland Paris, or browsing our Disneyland Paris offers and deals guide for any current discounts.
How Much Extra Is Golden Forest Club?
For this 3-night stay in March 2026, our Golden Forest room cost about £1,150. The standard room (Near Hotel Facilities) at the time of booking was about £800, so over a 3-night period, the premium to stay in Golden Forest worked out at about £120 a night (£350 divided by 3 nights). However, depending on the time of year, the difference can be up to £200 per night extra. This is based on 2 adults - if you have more people in your room, the premium will be higher as the price is based on each person staying rather than a flat room rate.
Prices move around a fair bit depending on UK school holiday dates, so it's worth using the Disneyland Paris Price Estimate Calendar to get an idea of what your dates might cost before committing, and checking our Disneyland Paris offers and deals guide in case there's a current discount that changes the maths.
Golden Forest Private Check-In
When you enter Disney Sequoia Lodge, instead of going to the normal reception area you can make a turn left and go into the Golden Forest Club check-in section.
There are two desks in there which are usually occupied by 2 cast members checking guests in. One of the guests was just finishing up when we arrived, so we didn't have to wait long until we could take a seat and get checked in. The nice part of this is, of course, a minimal wait and enjoying a sit down while you're being checked in. There is also some water if you need hydrating.
We got our room keys and paperwork and were told our room was ready early. The Magic Passes for staying at Golden Forest have a unique design too, which is a nice touch.
At this point, if your room is not ready, they will take your luggage there and then so you can enjoy the parks without having to drag your suitcases back outside to store them yourself. As our room was ready, we took our luggage with us directly to our room, but they did offer assistance taking it up if we wanted it.

📅 Search Cheapest Disneyland Paris DatesGolden Forest Club Room Types At Sequoia Lodge
Disney Sequoia Lodge (address: Avenue Robert Schuman, 77700 Coupvray, France) has 1,009 rooms in total, with 889 standard rooms and 120 Golden Forest Club rooms. Of those Golden Forest rooms, 110 are standard Golden Forest Club rooms (including 3 rooms for guests with disabilities) and 10 are suites.
Golden Forest standard rooms come in standard view or lake view categories - they're different room types you choose when booking, so a lake view isn't guaranteed unless you specifically book that category. The rooms are advertised at 27m² (290 sq ft), can sleep up to 4 guests, and come with either 1 or 2 double beds. This review covers the King bed room, which sleeps 2.
Golden Forest Club Suites At Sequoia Lodge
If you want to go all out, there are 10 Golden Forest Club suites at Disney Sequoia Lodge. These offer a noticeably bigger 55m² (592 sq ft) space and can sleep up to 4 guests. Along with the extra room, suite guests also get bathrobes and slippers - a small but nice touch the standard Golden Forest rooms don't include.
If a suite sounds more your style than the standard Golden Forest room, you can check current availability and pricing for your dates through Disneyland Paris.
Our Golden Forest Club Room
Our standard Golden Forest club room at Disney Sequoia Lodge was located on the 7th floor of the main building and is largely the same layout as a standard Sequoia Lodge room. The main practical difference in the room itself is a fridge - the coffee facilities, bathroom amenities and bedding are all the same as you'd find in a standard room. Where you notice the difference is in the extras that come with the Golden Forest Club experience rather than the room itself.
On this particular stay we were lucky enough to be in one of the two end rooms, which are quite a bit larger with a balcony and a king bed - more on that below.
I have never stayed in such a huge room at this hotel. Although remember you can check out our Disney Sequoia Lodge review to see how the rooms normally look. This room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. While there is a TV, it was super slow - not that we spend much time watching TV while at Disney. There is a coffee machine and kettle with some coffee pods as well as two glass bottles of water, which is expected in any sort of club-level room. However, not once was our water replenished during any housekeeping or turndown visits, which was frustrating. This particular room also features a balcony which we'll get to in a bit.
All rooms in the hotel get housekeeping every day, including Golden Forest rooms. However, in the evening you also get a turndown service. During turndown, they set up your bed ready for sleep, close the curtains, and put a collectible card and some chocolate coins on your bed. It's a very nice touch - guests always love the turndown service on the Disney Cruise ships so it's nice to enjoy a bit of that in a Disney hotel on land.
We only had one nitpick with the room which was that there's only one wall socket by the coffee machine. That means we could only have the lamp on, use the coffee machine, or use the kettle at any one time, and we had to crawl under the table to change the plugs over whenever we wanted to change appliances. I'm not sure why an extension cable of some sort was not put under there - hopefully something that gets addressed as the wider refurbishment programme rolls through the hotel from 2026 onwards.
Golden Forest Balcony Room
Staying in Golden Forest means you get a room in the Golden Forest room blocks which can be on the top 7th floor. As you can see on the floor map below, there are two rooms on each end, 7248 and 7212. These are rooms with a balcony. (7247 and 7211 do as well, but they're suites.)
The other rooms on this floor are mostly the standard Golden Forest rooms. So it's rare you'll be able to grab one of these end rooms. I'm unsure about 7212, but 7248 is a king room, and we booked a Golden Forest Club King Room and this is the room we got. I'm not sure how many of the other rooms have a king bed, and while you can try to request this room, I imagine you have to book one of the king room categories for a chance of getting it.
You can see across the top of the Disney Sequoia Lodge building from behind and to the side, and off to the front you just about see PanoraMagique and Disney Village. The front half of the balcony belongs to the suite next door.
The balcony has a table with two chairs where you can enjoy your morning coffee if the weather is nice.
Golden Forest Club Lounge at Sequoia Lodge
One of the main Golden Forest Club benefits advertised is access to the Golden Forest Club Lounge at Disneyland Paris. It's open all day for complimentary soft drinks outside of meal times, and it's where you go for breakfast in the morning and afternoon tea in the, well, afternoon. The lounge is beautiful, quiet, and relaxing. Times can vary, but breakfast tends to run from around 7am to 11am, and afternoon tea from around 3:30pm to 5pm.

📅 Search Cheapest Disneyland Paris DatesThe Golden Forest Club Lounge is table service, so if you want to go sit in there to relax for a bit you just go ahead and a cast member will come over and take your order for complimentary soft drinks, teas and coffees.
However, at quiet times I found the Golden Forest Lounge to be quite frustrating when you want to grab a drink to go - something a cast member told us to take advantage of when we first checked in and sat in there for the first time. All the drinks need to be served by a cast member, but when they're off doing other things like setting up or cleaning up after mealtime, they are nowhere to be seen and you're sat twiddling your thumbs in the lounge waiting for someone to show. I am not blaming the cast members here - I just think it needs to be better managed. At two different occasions there were around 4 other people waiting around just to grab a drink to go. While as a proper Brit I don't particularly talk to strangers, two of them were other Brits and the other two were French and everyone was getting a bit agitated waiting around. There absolutely needs to be a grab and go station of some kind so guests can come grab a couple of drinks. It really takes you out of the magic when you're wasting time waiting around for something that is meant to be a perk of the more expensive service you've paid for. Furthermore, unlike other club level experiences elsewhere where they give you cans or bottles to go, here they have large 2L bottles of Coca Cola and other drinks which they pour into little plastic cups for you to take. The whole thing needs a rethink. I will say all the cast members we met here were all lovely and doing a great job coming to the tables offering more drinks when we did sit in there to enjoy a drink.
Even with that frustration, lounge access is still part of what you're paying for with Golden Forest, so it's worth weighing up against the room cost - check the Golden Forest premium for your dates here.
Golden Forest Club Breakfast & Afternoon Tea
Breakfast at the Golden Forest Club is included and offers pretty much the same food as downstairs in the main restaurant, but it's a little quieter. There's a very good selection of hot and cold drinks to enjoy, and everything we had was fresh and tasted great - we enjoyed it a lot. Breakfast was served from 7am to 11am during our stay.
In the afternoon, the Golden Forest Club afternoon tea (served from around 3:30pm to 5pm, though times can vary) is a real highlight of the Disneyland Paris club level experience. You can get some themed afternoon snacks and drinks to keep you going for the rest of the day. It's not enough (for most people) to make a meal, but there's still a good amount of food to satisfy and it's a nice perk to come back to after a morning in the parks. What's quite amusing is they're a little less trusting here, and while it could have changed over there as well by now, when we stayed in the Empire room at Disney Hotel New York - The Art Of Marvel, we just showed our Empire card and went in. Now they check your Golden Forest card and have a paper list of all the people currently staying and cross-check you against that.
The breakfast overall is lovely, even though they do serve the saddest looking Mickey waffles I have ever seen.

📅 Search Cheapest Disneyland Paris DatesComparing Golden Forest Club To Walt Disney World Club Level
If you've stayed at a Walt Disney World club level room before, there are some noticeable differences worth knowing about. At Walt Disney World, club level often offers more meal service options throughout the day rather than just breakfast and afternoon tea, and there's also a complimentary bar service in the evenings. Perhaps most notably, you can access the lounge and all food and drinks from the moment you check in right through to midnight on your check-out day - which as you'll see below isn't the case at Disneyland Paris.
That said, it's not really a negative - Walt Disney World club level rooms generally cost considerably more than the Golden Forest premium at Disneyland Paris once you factor in the extra lounge access. You're getting a scaled-back version of the experience at a scaled-back price. Worth knowing if you're comparing the two, but not a reason to avoid Golden Forest Club on its own merits.
Golden Forest Club Access: What You Can and Can't Use
Your access to the Golden Forest Club Lounge at Disneyland Paris only applies during your active stay window, and it's worth understanding exactly what that means before you arrive.
On your check-in day, official check-in isn't until 3pm, which means you can enjoy afternoon tea (which runs from around 3:30pm-5pm) but you cannot access breakfast that morning even if you arrive early.
On your check-out day, check-out is 11am, which means you can enjoy breakfast but you cannot have afternoon tea - after 11am you're no longer officially a Golden Forest Club guest so lounge access ends there.
So across a standard 3-night stay, you will get 3 breakfasts and 3 afternoon teas - but if you could have breakfast on check-in day and afternoon tea on check-out day that would make it 4 sittings of each instead of 3 - which makes sense when you think about it. Lounge access for soft drinks, teas and coffees is available throughout the day during your active stay window in the same way.
Worth keeping that access window in mind when you're working out the value for money - see the latest Golden Forest pricing for your dates before you decide.
Golden Forest Club Checkout
When it comes to checking out, things couldn't be easier. You pack up your bags when you're ready to leave the room, call down to the Golden Forest front desk and tell them you're leaving. You can then leave your bags in your room and they will come collect them after you've left. When you're ready to go home, you go back to the Golden Forest check-in desk and grab your suitcases with a minimal wait. It's quite nice to not have to drag your suitcases and bags all the way down to the luggage storage in the morning.
Is Golden Forest Worth The Upgrade?
For this stay, for us, it was overall worth it, even with the lounge frustrations. However, the caveat with that is we had an awesome room. In most situations, you won't get this spacious end room with a balcony, so keeping in mind that most people who stay at Golden Forest will get one of the normal rooms, I would still say it can be worth it. While there's nothing obviously different about the rooms except a fridge, you have to work out if you would get value for your extra money with the Golden Forest Club benefits that come with the experience. The turndown service is good, and the little chocolate coins are a nice touch. There is definitely value in some of the perks like the private check-in area (especially if it's busy) and the luggage services.
As I previously said, we paid about a £350 (£120 a night) premium for Golden Forest (for a couple), so I would say it is priced correctly for what you get. We thought (previous to booking) that we'd have breakfast most mornings which costs €25 each to pay for, as well as the Golden Forest afternoon tea and then soft drinks throughout the day, which will save a few Euros each time. If the price for your stay (which you can easily see using the Disneyland Paris Price Estimate Calendar) is around this area and you fancy a little treat, I would say go for it. If it's at the higher end, I would make sure you are able to get the full value out of all the perks to justify the extra cost.
We recommend Disney Sequoia Lodge in general for your Disneyland Paris stay, even though the rooms are in need of a refurb - the good news is that's already underway, with major renovation work having started in 2026 and the first newly themed rooms due from the first quarter of 2027 - but the Golden Forest Club upgrade is worth it if you can get value from the extras, which isn't too difficult. I think if they sort out a grab and go for the lounge, replenish the bottled water in the rooms consistently, and add a couple more extras to the rooms so they're a bit better over the standard rooms, Golden Forest would be a home run for the extra it costs. I hope we've given you some clarity to work out if the Golden Forest Club benefits and extras are worth the upgrade for you.
How To Book Golden Forest Club
You can use the Disneyland Paris Price Estimate Calendar tool to get an idea of the pricing for the days you want to visit. When you've decided, either book a hotel and ticket package directly through Disneyland Paris if you want to arrange your own transport, or for a full ATOL-protected transport, hotel and ticket package book direct through Disney Holidays. If you're travelling from the UK, the transport, hotel and ticket package can include your journey too - whether that's a flight or the Eurostar route via Lille Europe with a connecting TGV on to Marne-la-Vallée-Chessy (there's no longer a direct Eurostar service to the resort).

Golden Forest Club: Your Questions Answered
What meals are included with the Golden Forest Club upgrade?
Breakfast and afternoon tea are included with Golden Forest. Breakfast runs for 4 hours every morning, and afternoon tea takes place for around 2 hours in the mid-afternoon.
Are Golden Forest Club rooms different from standard rooms?
Not really - most rooms (aside from the end rooms like the one in this review) are very similar to the standard Disney Sequoia Lodge rooms. The main difference is a fridge in Golden Forest rooms.
Do Golden Forest Club rooms have a lake view?
Not necessarily - Golden Forest standard rooms come in standard view and lake view categories, so a lake view depends on which room type you book rather than being guaranteed. Rooms can sleep up to 4 guests with 1 or 2 double beds, or you can book a King room (like the one in this review) that sleeps 2.
Is Premier Access included with Golden Forest?
No. Since Disneyland Paris replaced Fastpass with Premier Access, complimentary passes are no longer included as part of your Golden Forest club level stay.
Is Golden Forest Club suitable for families?
Yes, families can stay at Golden Forest Club. The pricing is per person rather than per room, so the premium over a standard room increases with the size of your party. The lounge, breakfast and afternoon tea are all accessible for all guests in your room.
How does Golden Forest Club at Disneyland Paris compare to Walt Disney World club level?
Walt Disney World club level often offers more meal service options throughout the day, a complimentary bar service in the evenings, and lounge access from check-in right through to midnight on check-out day. Golden Forest Club at Disneyland Paris is more limited - breakfast and afternoon tea only, with lounge access ending at 11am on check-out day. However, Walt Disney World club level rooms typically cost considerably more, so you're getting a scaled-back experience at a scaled-back price.
What food and drinks are available in the Golden Forest Lounge?
Soft drinks, teas and coffees are served throughout the day in the Golden Forest Lounge. The soft drinks are Coca-Cola products and similar.
Can guests take food or drinks from the Golden Forest Lounge to their room?
Yes. Throughout the day when the Golden Forest Lounge is open, you can take food and drinks back to your room.
Are Golden Forest Club rooms located in a specific area of the hotel?
Yes, Golden Forest rooms can be located on level 7 in the main building at Disney Sequoia Lodge.
Are there Golden Forest Club suites at Disney Sequoia Lodge?
Yes. Rooms 7247 and 7211 on the 7th floor are suites within the Golden Forest Club section. These are larger than the standard Golden Forest rooms and include a balcony, and would need to be booked as a suite category.
